  1. I never once turned my back on the team and was shouting them on positively at each game during that. I tend to vent my frustration here rather than on the terrace which can have a negative effect. So no I disagree I was not turning away from my team. Unlike some of the glory hunters from march I was there as always with the hard core support at tannadice at Easter road etc. when I return home I then see loads of fans saying its crap and I agreed. Most people agree Danny was nearly out the door but I repeat he has done a great job turning us around. Fair play. Oaksoft get a grip mate you don't like me but turn my back on st.mirren never in a month of Sundays. Jog on you petulant wind up merchant
  2. Loud and clear down here faraway loud and clear. I am sorry that you haven't made it down and wish you a speedy recovery . I would say that until you have had to sit thought the dross we served up then I have every right to call it as I see it. I have congratulated Danny recently but as with any team when the chips are down the media intensify the stories and its on here many fans vent their frustration. I am most certainly not dim but if you get a kick out of that then I'm fine with that. Fact is you have watched saints 12 times in a season and a half whilst I have been there all the time meaning I can criticise the team and. Praise them as I see how good or bad they are. Yes it's fickle yes we get frustrated but its football the world over. Anyhow I must have missed something as two months ago I seem to remember almost everyone saying it wasn't good enough and it wasn't but hey now it is.
  3. Would just like to point out that yes at times I have been very critical of Danny but he deserves great credit for this revival.
  4. Really big win for us today. It would have been an injustice had we not picked up three points as we are much better than Ross county at the minute. We have a tough run now of games but can go into them with confidence
  5. Saints are doing much better and deserve credit for it well done. You probably haven't saw them except on sport scene right enough so won't actually know just how bad they were prior to this upturn. 1 win in 20 odd games was poor but fair play its looking up
  6. A very strange game today we were outplayed for most of it but seemingly this was the plan. Well done today a great result
  7. This years kit is not great. The all black paisley pattern was total class
  8. How? I wait with baited breath about what shit you'll come up with. Jog on happy clapper
  9. Any chance of a retro black paisley pattern match winner sponsored by Ingram strip being released?
  10. Should be goals today but expect a dire attendance. Paisley needs to back their team more!
  11. We really need to respond this Saturday. A big couple of weeks coming up for saints and two very winnable games.
  12. I come on to talk football and that is then slated and I am given a torrent of abuse. I don't care I am maybe in the minority but sitting second bottom of a weak spfl isn't good enough for me
  13. I praised the team for tynecastle in what I thought was a tremendous performance. I can now criticise them for yesterday which was a very poor performance . I think faraway you should try attending matches and then I will listen to your opinion. Oaksoft the perennial happy clapper I expect the welcome back from you cheers. Stmirren today sit second bottom of the spfl and everything is just dandy with some on here. Well it's not for me and losing 4-0 is not good enough. The managers time is nearing an end it is just a matter of when now
  14. When do we ever hump a team 4-0 ? When do we ever dismantle a team? This season has been crap so far and I fear it will get worse. We are off the bottom due to hearts being minus 15 its not good enough
  15. So st.johnstone, Inverness , hibs etc are all too big and too good for us? I hate to break it to you but thistle are playing some tremendous football for a promoted club so I doubt we will be catching them and maybe county and killie are catchable but is it really that shit that we are already accepting a relegation or playoff rather battle? I tell you for a club that has had 7 years in the league we should be moving up the table and this is not good enough.
  16. If he loses to county he should be sacked. Look we're pretty crap we have a horrendous defence and the winter is just beginning.
  17. A draw at home to county a good result. I have heard it all. Our ambition must be better than that no?
  18. I am of the opinion that we should be doing a lot better. Two good weeks and then this. I realise its easy to get carried away with raw emotion which is why I have waited to post this. I am not angry and I am not on here saying sack Danny Lennon now however, I think that as we continue to play poorly then it becomes clear that Danny shouldn't get a new contract. I think that the consensus amongst fans is that danny is a nice guy and he won the cup so we need to allow him time. Fair enough I am happy with that but I do not see st.mirren fc progressing at all. I see a team that is going backwards from previous seasons. The fact that we could be facing a playoff if we do not improve worries me. Can you say that you think we would be able to beat a Dundee or hamilton over two legs? Now I see the cup win and I see 8th in the spl but I also see a team that has its assistant manager basically running the show. Stewart girl our is a clever man and one who I know cares tremendously about our club and I know he will be watching this and wondering what to do. Stick with Danny and hope he claws us to safety or twist and hope a new man can Change this decline we have at present. Yes we were great at tynecastle but that is it we won v the fakes yet it wasn't convincing but ok it was 3 pts. What I think is that regardless of whether it is in a few games or next summer is that St.Mirren will have a new manager at some point in the next 7 months. Danny may stay but I do not feel he is the man to take us forward it is over for him at saints. He may get a few games he may get the season but with a record as poor as his I wouldn't think Stewart gilmour will offer him an new deal.
  19. A very fine win yesterday but not before time. We now have to start producing results like this one every other week. We won't expect miracles but a run of good wins every now and then is not too much in this league. It is not acceptable that we have won only two in 21. Much better yesterday though and if we can build on it then that would be brilliant
