  1. I'm sorry but having a new team isn't an excuse. We can't keep giving every new manager a new team before they can't start getting results. They need to work with what they have, there's a lot of guys and girls out there that could at least get us looking more organised than what we have done.
  2. Firstly you can't give any manager for losing and being uncompetitive in so many games no matter what the squad. At our level, managers need to work with what's in front of them, that means getting organised and getting smart. Kearney hasn't done that, and there's been no signs of it. We're not getting beat by individual mistakes, we're getting beat by not being organised. The new signings have been an improvement, but the system we are playing is leading us to ruin. Kearney has no football identity, he's not playing a high press, possession football or a direct counter. Nazon is one of the first players I've seen at us in a long time with genuine trickery and a willingness to take on players with the ball at his feet. Hladky is in the running for player of the year already for me. Popescu is also the best centre back we've had potentially my lifetime. Its nice to see someone at the club is finally doing something right, or we're just getting lucky with agents.
  3. Imagine giving Jack Baird a new contract as well. Third choice in the championship and totally out his depth. Their is no fight in this team. Our tactics somehow make us even softer. Constantly playing a two man midfield which gets us run over in the middle and out wide. Kearney has has the majority of the season to get something sorted to grind out results. There's been no improvement what so ever. If the season wasn't already gone he should be gone. Let him have the end of the season then he's surely gone.
  4. I don't care that the keeper got lobbed, to let that ball drop over your head is f**king awful.
  5. He's had the majority of the season to field a team that actually looks solid, instead of us constantly being steamrollered through the middle and out wide.
  6. Early bet on Hldaky getting player of the year?
  7. This two man central midfield tactic has been awful all season and continues to be. Far too lightweight, and the full backs get over run easily.
  8. Keeper makes two outstanding saves. Shot from edge of the box flicked in.
  9. Whoever came up with that set play needs binned. Laying the ball back to the original taker. He'll be offside 99 out of 100 times
  10. That lineup gives me the fear! Just have to hope Utd don't try and play a physical game.
  11. Decided to mix it up and sit in the West Stand instead of the Main Stand today. Do you still pick up tickets ordered online from the Main Stand window is will I have to queue in the West Stand Portacabin? With regards to lineup, I reckon we have to play all the new signings. They need match fitness ASAP so we need them playing.
  12. I struggle to see how we can keep him at the end of the season unless we have a drastic improvement. When we stayed up in the Championship, we'd have had one of the bigger budgets in the league and spent further on top of that to get clear, in a league that contained part time Dumbarton... This time out budget will be one of the smallest in the league, and a manager has to work with what he has. Even if he thought the squad he inherited was shite, he should have been getting them set up to be compact, well drilled and hard to break down. Something we actually attempted in his first game. Literally shit fest games to get points, instead of what we've witnessed is us continuing to be cut apart and positionally all over the place. I'd be much more forgiving if I witnessed some form of coherent shape or an ability to realise that the tactics we play are ridiculously naive in this league. When we do change manager, I hope whoever made the decision is far removed from the process. I still can't understand the logic in appointing someone you didn't see fit as first choice to rescue your season, or worryingly they had no idea how big a project this is.
  13. You can't blame Stubbs then give Kearney a free pass, when he's been just as bad, if not worse. For all our tactics and organisation has been awful all season. The board have massively underestimated the size of task at hand, with the recruitment for this season from Ross through to Kearney being unacceptable. Whoever played a major role in identifying players under Ross, the likes of Hypolyte, Flynn and Kellerman, to the appointment of Stubbs and his signings. To appointing Kearney, who has been unable to organise two squads. Should be the one to take the real heat.
  14. Baird plays everyone on by about 4 yards. His positioning is generally suspect. He gets bullied out of games easily. His distribution is awful. He was third choice and the championship, and just isn't cut out for regular Premiership football. I know fine well that the midfield doesn't help, but Baird is often his own worst enemy. If he wasn't a youth player with us, then he'd get judged correctly.
  15. Fairly surprised he's got a new contract. I don't think he's developed that well at all, and still needs someone to guide him through games despite the amount of games he's played. Which is a major worry with the mistakes he often makes. The first Hibs goal really highlighted how poor he is, and unfortunately it's not a one off. Still hopefully he can come good, but he has a lot to do.
  16. January windows are an awful time to do business. Realistically we were always going to be reliant on waiting for players to end their contracts elsewhere. When that happens we're at the mercy of the agents. For every deal we think we've lined up, agents will have touted him to other teams saying exactly how much we offered. Moving forward hopefully we've now got in place the infrastructure to get deals sorted as early as possible, as we messed up this season by having no contingency for Ross leaving despite that being apparent from before we won the league.
  17. The most concerning thing is how soft we still are. No matter who is in the squad you expect the manager to set the team up to attempt to be hard to beat. Keep the formation tight, and play on the break, and make use of set plays. There's been no progress on that front, we still collapse at the first sign of pressure. The midfield being particularly guilty of being the first to chuck it.
  18. We need to start putting an extra player in midfield as McGinn is not mobile enough to play in a two. Nether McGinn or Tansey are particularly interested or capable of protecting the back four either. They both disappear as soon as the ball goes behind them.
  19. Our midfield is absolutely awful. Every week they fail to track anyone. As soon as we fall behind we just give up.
  20. We've somehow taken Jackson out the game this half
  21. Collapsed again. Paul McGinn cleared it off the line into McGregor for a tap in. Looked like the keeper had the original shot covered.
  22. That's an awful attempt from McAllister after he was gifted the ball with the keeper out of the box. 1-1. Baird playing Shaw onside. Easy through ball to put him 1 on 1.
