  1. You just don’t quit do you? Ok, since Brian Rice (who incidentally was approached by Accies and asked to leave) took over Hamilton they’ve played 10 league games winning 3, drawing 2 and losing 5 gaining 11 points in the process, scoring 7 and conceding 20. Over the same period Saints have also played 10, winning 2 drawing 3 and losing 5, picking up 9 points. Over that period we’ve scored 8 and lost 12. Not really much in it to be fair. Both teams have struggled to score and when Accies lose they generally get scudded, probably because they open up against the better teams. Nothing is going to change the fact that you will never know if Kearney got it right or wrong on the Celtic game, even if we go down it won’t validate your point as there were another 6 games after that. We did no better or worse against them last Wednesday than we have in the past and the players that came in did well. It’s done. Let it go FFS.
  2. You’re just confusing yourself now. Was it a weakened team, did we just not fight for it or is our form just miserable?🤣 You really are a wee forum gem.
  3. Favourite Saints strip ever. Team weren’t too bad at that point either. Even the worst of them would shine in today’s team/league.
  4. The support was magnificent yesterday. I suspect we will all have a big part to play over the highs and lows of the next 5 games.
  5. I think Neil Warnock was quoted this week saying he was going to put his U23’s out against Man City to make sure his team were fresh for the relegation battle v Burnley next Saturday. Whether he did or not isn’t the point. The fact that this practice is prevalent in football at the business end of the season is.
  6. Mate, go back and watch the game you refer to. We had less possession, one more shot on goal and played against 10 men for almost an hour. In terms of Oran’s quote, I genuinely don’t believe he gave the game up. There were some injuries to deal with and he decided to manage his squad based on fitness, the quality of the opposition, the games we’d played over a short period of time and the magnitude of the upcoming game against a relegation rival. I’m pretty sure every manager, faced with the same set of challenges, would’ve done the same. Anyway, it’s done now and we’ve put ourselves in a decent position with 5 of the aforementioned “cup finals” to come.
  7. What would happen if it want a one off though and the Dons were in the midst of a 89’s revival and we’re regularly carrying that amount of fans? I abhor the part the OF play in bring sectarianism into football but not to the point where my feelings toward them would get in the way of a solid commercial decision. Like I said before, those who see it that way are thinking with hearts rather than head. Unless you’re Lookatme who uses it as a stick to beat the BoD with.
  8. Oh, for the love of god. There were reasons for the “weakened” side and none of them were to do with throwing the towel in. Ferdinand for McKenzie - GMac was not fit to play two games in 4 days having been out a year. Corbu for McGinn - it was stated on here that McGinn was carrying a knock and wasn’t fit to play 90 mins. McGinn for Lyons - upgrade. McPherson for Dreyer - Tactical as we expected to have to defend more and this isn’t Dreyer’s strength. Kellerman for Flynn - Flynn was injured. Ethan would likely have filled this role but was suspended. Cooke for Mullen - Mullen has just played his first game in a while and Kearney clearly felt 3 games in a week would be too much. I know that a huge part of your reason for being is to dig the BOD and the manager for anything that allows you to express whatever pent up aggression/frustration you have but you’re barking up the wrong tree on this one. Maybe Kearney could’ve risked a couple of the above players but you would have been the absolute first to get on his back if we’d lost anyway and the likes of Flynn were then out for the Accies game or more. Incidentally, the performance against Celtic with this weakened team was no better or worse than previous efforts. Dry your f**king eyes and get over it.
  9. Every club does it. Indeed, up until this year the ugly sisters did it to each other. This isn’t about the OF though because if Aberdeen were going to win the league, were playing at our place and wanted 3,500 tickets we’d give it to them too. It’s a basic commercial decision with the club’s interests at heart. The simple choice we face is either continue down this road and take the financial benefits or buck the trend, suffer commercially and play in front of a half empty stadium with less atmosphere. Anyone who chooses option two does so with their heart and not their head. Unfortunately GLS doesn’t have that luxury as he’s trying to run a business.
  10. I understand what you’re saying Wilbur but our away form has been shit. If we can stay unbeaten on the road then I believe we’ll do enough in the two home games to guarantee safety.
  11. He’s had an up and down season but he’s 17 and playing out of position. I think he’ll benefit from this season in the long run.
  12. You are bat-shit mental. You’re assertion that Livi have shown us the way we should’ve played Celtic is just your usual mixture of deranged lunacy and stubbornness. If I’m waving any flag it’s to try to alert someone to your plight as you are not well.
  13. I’d take a point right now and move onto the St Johnstone home game.
  14. No, what it shows is that irrespective of who the f**k plays, Celtic will dominate possession and, more often than not, win the game. This is why they are Champions 8 years running. Let this one go, you’re just making a tit of yourself.
  15. Dundee have two tough away games to start. If we can pick up 4 points from Livi away and St Johnstone at home that could well be that in terms of the bottom spot.
  16. Livi have double our current points tally and have been better than us all season. Fair play to them today although the consensus from match reports is that they got pummelled and we’re very lucky to escape with a point. They had 27% possession and 1 shot on target. Hardly taking it to Celtic wouldn’t you agree?
  17. Agree with all but the last sentence. I watched the Ross County v Utd game last night. Both teams make us look silky. We would win the playoff against either but let’s hope that becomes Accies problem.[emoji120]
  18. Draw was probably a fair result but goals change games and Lyons chances were huge moments in the game. 2 weeks off will help with the injuries so you’d expect McGinn and Flynn to be fully fit by then. If Magennis comes into contention by then we’ll have some real competition for places. Hopefully GMac also ready as Muzek at left wing back instead of Ethan would help. Cooke has to start in stead of Jackson. He offers so little he’s not even nuisance value. What’s happened to McAllister?
  19. I don’t buy this viewpoint. It’s something you’re clearly passionate about but I’m not in the same place. I took my 12 year old to the game last night (her first OF game) and she enjoyed it like any other. She actually commented on the atmosphere created by the Celtic fans and their own drummer. There is one simple solution to this and that is to put a winning team on the park. It will attract more fans and remove the need for the club to sell more tickets to away fans.
  20. I dislike the OF in the same way as most people do. I don’t agree that we need them. In fact I’d much prefer they were down south playing. That being said if we’re playing in a league where all of the other teams sell out half (sometimes more) of their grounds to accommodate them then we’re putting ourselves at a commercial disadvantage by not following suit. It’s a business decision and the club clearly believe that the positive impact of the extra revenue outweighs the negative impact of fan relocation and feelings.
  21. I’m sure Saints don’t want it to be that way but it’s your money so.........
  22. You referenced a “weakened” side. We rested McKenzie (hadn’t played for a year), Paul McGinn, Flynn (roundly criticised in here up until about a month ago), Dreyer (McAllister’s back up), Lyons & Mullen(a personal fav of yours). The rest of my post addressed your nonsense about needing to score 4 goals. What next? Away goals counting double?🤣
  23. How do you know this? There were 176 more fans there on Saturday but the walk up ticket price was £5 more expensive last night and I’m pretty sure there would be significantly more concessions on a Saturday 3pm kick off then midweek. Even if you factor in additional stewarding/ Police Scotland costs I think you may be talking shite.
