Great weather on Friday/Saturday, pishing doon all Sunday, but I was still amazed at how well the grass held up, never saw any mud anywhere. Someone told me they have some sort of protective mesh weave thing going on just beneath grass level.

They were supposed to run one stage whilst the other was in changeover period to prevent cross stage sound pollution. Doesn't seem to have happened. Anyhow, great few days over and so much better than the jaded T in the Park class A drugs-a-thon. My gear is all packed up and I'm off into the merchant city for a pint or three. Word is, it will be back.

I'm now hearing in my head an acapella, doo wop rendition of Karma Police led by an auld teddy boy with a lazy eye !

Been there all week already putting the rig in, small compact site much like the original T in the Park at Hamilton. I'll mainly be plying my trade at the King Tuts stage the next three days, all over by 9pm and I'll be at Central Station for the half 9 to Gilmour Street, sorted !
  8. Might need to get some fizzbombs in...
  9. Her faither was one o' them Chin/Chapman 70's hit factory songwriter types wasn't he ? Met her myself on a job years ago, aye, awfy pleasant. Never asked for a shag...

Might have had a P in it can't recall, but CWS stood for Co-operative Wholesale Society, the Co-op's formal name.

That whole building was Co-op, including a dance hall with parquet flooring on the top floor. The former Dusty Millar pub is next door. Who remembers the the huge neon signage on the short gable end corner at Forbes Place/Causeyside St that lit up one letter at a time C...W...S ..?

Their range of ales was shocking and nae quiz night either ? But in all seriousness, how can that be struggling ? Is it just moving to a bigger premises or something ?
  13. Whoever took that decision is a total Basket Case !
  14. There's that wickedly dry sense of humour again...
  15. STV's Outside Broadcast manager back then, was a Buddie, Peter Coleman, lived up in Hawkhead Estate until his death about ten years ago of a massive heart attack. He'd have had a say in that coverage too no doubt. ;-)
  16. Well defo didnae read both pages before quoting... funny that !
  17. Met Ludo at Lilias Day last summer (he was more or less single handedly winning the dads tug of war contest) Still had his sports place and was talking about expanding elsewhere.
  18. Great minds etc ! Walked along Albion St this morning and could see 3 or 4 big diggers working on the site. New hooses will be up in jig time !

  21. So he's a witness and a celebrity stalker !
  22. So this witness that dobbed him in, saw him allegedly downing vodka in Debeers and then ran like Daley Thomson to observe Mr Nutini driving in Canal St ? He must habe been on the Lucozade !
  23. Did Martin take a shit inside as he is 'alleged' to in every property they film in ?
  24. "Women weren't meant to play football. If they were they'd have their tits somewhere else !"
  25. Whilst I'm not particularly upset by this strip, (god knows we've seen much worse) I agree that the amount of black on show does outweigh the white and yes it's a bit too "fussy". As ever the Juventus strip seems to be the arbiter of good taste and design in black & white and I don't know why we don't just copy it every year ? My favourite Saints sttips have been the simplest, 1977-1981 era, the 1999-2000 'Cetco' and Poz's effort from 2012-13. At the end of the day I'm more concerned with what the ten guys wearing it every other weekend do, of course.
