Same thing happened with Celtic-Dunfermline , a couple of years back. It wasn't played until late November !

Well it does mean we have no income for the first two weeks of the season . Couldn't see HMFC , Killie or RFC standing for that !

TBH I've never known a club to start with two aways in the SPL , and I would have thought that having no game on the second week would have ensured a home game first !

Worst possible start. How can fan interest be held with a trip to the back of beyond and a cancellation to begin with ? ETA At least the Xmas/NY fixtures have been kind this year !

Depends if Goodwin's in midfield or defence. If he's going to be deployed in the back four then we still need a ball-winner !

This is definitely a wait and see ! Have never been impressed with him when he's played against us , but have seen him do ok in live TV games !

Samson was signed as low-cost a back-up though , and proved to the coaching staff that he was good enough during his first season of bench warming. Leatheren would be the same IMO , and I'm pretty sure we'll be signing someone else as first choice !

Unless we've earmarked someone else , then we should have offered him enough to sign , even if it is for cover , as we're going to have problems filling the full-back positions !

AFAIK he hasn't signed a deal yet , only Kelly and Naismith have signed so far !

If we can convince Jack Smith to sign a new deal then I have high hopes for him , he's still not put pen to paper though and you can be sure his dad will have contacts at other clubs that are willing to take a chance on him.
