  1. Someone would need to sew about three strips together to fit him. He's about the same size as big Ian that used to sell the papers at the cross !
  2. "Stumbling on" wouldn't save them from relegation if the parent co is declared insolvent by Monday !
  3. If Hearts parent company are insolvent , then Hearts are insolvent and that would lead to the docking of points. Exact same situ as Southampton a few years ago ! STV reporting that the SPL has it's lawyers on the case to make sure any punishment is legal. They look as if they're after them big style !
  4. I presumed Hearts down instead of Dundee. It's a totally different scenario to Sevco .
  5. Get them out of the SPL , they've got away with cheating for too long !
  6. Hearts Majority Owner UBIG Is Insolvent, Bankruptcy Body Says By Bryan Bradley Ukio Banko Investicine Grupe, or UBIG, the Lithuanian investment company that controls Scottish soccer club Heart of Midlothian, is insolvent, said the Baltic nation’s Department of Enterprise Bankruptcy Management today on its website. The department, part of the Economy Ministry, said that Kaunas-based UBIG, at its own request, had been placed on a list of companies unable or unwilling to meet their obligations. UBIG is a sister company of Ukio Bankas AB, a lender that Lithuania’s central bank closed in February for risky lending to related parties. Russian-born investor Vladimir Romanov controlled both companies. UBIG owns 79 percent of Edinburgh-based Hearts as well as sport, aluminum and real-estate projects in several countries, according to its website. 7. Gallacher never has been, and never will be, good enough for St Mirren. He's a legend in his own mind !
  8. Confirmed as freed Jordan Holt‏@jordan94holt2h Sad to say my goodbyes at St.Mirren today. Great set of lads will truly miss u guys and all the very best in the future with your careers
  9. Knowing what? That collectively they hardly played in any league wins?
  10. .................. and the BOD won't be happy about it either !
  11. Most likely outcome ? Carey will find another SPL club with a manager who knows how to utilise him. The upshot being that he will be a squad member with a safe SPL club a year from now , while we still struggle to avoid the drop !
  12. Be interesting to see how this whole thing pans out. Danny , reportedly , has fallen out with some players , including Carey , and if this is true then the BOD aren't going to sit back and allow it to continue to happen, We never carry a big enough squad for there to be any disharmony within it !
  13. Worth noting in the team line-ups that one Gregor Stevens was subbed by big DJ , this transpired after our 3rd goal when the serial hardman was elbowed a beauty in the face by Big Dougie as Jimmy Bone's cross came into the box. Stevens was taken to hospital in an ambulance suffering from concussion !

    Now What?!

If there ever was a game to start the two big guys together up front with Teale and Carey pumping the balls in on top of Darren Barr and A.N.Other this was it.
  15. New rules now mean they would lose a third of their points total from last season , 15 or 16 points. There's even speculation that they know they will escape administration this season but know they will cop it next season , and will deliberately lose their remaining games this season so their points total for this season is as low as possible thus affecting the calculation for docked points next season !
  16. Certainly was , we were on a great winning run but had left it too late as per usual ! Losing at Arbroath from a winning position a few weeks earlier cost us promotion as they went up !
  17. Venetian Riviera 'cos my dad was minted.
  18. Nearly 10k then , when you factor in the customary reduction ?
  19. Rodney Marsh was injured , so it was Teddy Maybank and John Mitchell up front with Bestie.
  20. He played twice for Hibs at LS that season , the 2nd was a lower key affair than the first , only about 10k in attendance !
  21. April 5 1980 , St Mirren 2 Hibs 0 , front three for Hibs were ex Saints Ally McLeod and Robert Torrance , and George Best !
  22. We're about to reach the "Chairman Mao" phase I fear , in that Nelson will be Pan Breed but it won't be made public for sometime !
  23. 27th March , 1971. Cowden 1 St Mirren 2 , Archie Knox with the winner. Relegated that season with too good a team for the drop. Wilson Humphries had a lot to answer for !
  24. Back on topic , 25/03/1972 , with Bryceland now the manager , Berwick 1 St Mirren 2 , with Ally McLeod getting a late winner !
