  1. You only hear from this miserable bugger when we have lost - personally I doubt he is a fan at all. I am all for being pissed off when the team are not performing but he makes Victor Meldrew the happiest man on earth. No fan would consistently criticise their team week in week out and I have never seen him post anything other than negative views. He is either a wind up merchant or needs to support a team that wins most week. Maybe Celtic would do for him then he may be happy? Nah, I doubt it.
  2. Funny about Jake. He was on loan from a Championship side and not lower league or non league. He must have something to get a contract at Blackpool. I feel he never had a chance with us. Whether it was Danny's tinkering and playing him out of position or the pace of Scottish football was not right for him?
  3. FFS Danny praising Hearts goal and blaming the players for poor decision making. Pot and kettle. He needs to have a bloody look at his own decision making. How can he not see the idiotic changes created the level of confusion and imbalance he created in the first 6 games and more recently in the Motherwell game? I do hope the board seriously consider whether or not to offer a new contract. I am fed up with this lame quote of "I hope he learns" as surely these management clangers and him learning should be improved after 4 years in charge?
  4. Super keeper but best you have seen for Saints? Personally Dibble and Billy Thompson were great keepers and IMO better than Kello. Were you around to see them? Dennis Connaghan was also a great keepet for us in early 70s.
  5. Kind of surprised that Mo Farra did not get a place in the top bearing in mind his achievements rather than the rugby player who got runner up. Still Andy surely deserves the plaudits having achieved something that no other Brit has acheived since the 1930s (in the men's game that is). If Sir Wiggins can get a knighthood and personality of the year by winning a cycling race (and the latter deservedly so) then there was really only one person going to win the award.
  6. 3-1 tonight. Confident that if we play as well in the this game as we did in the first last Saturday then we will take our chances and blow them away. No excuses now that we are on grass, at home and a better bunch of players. It will be about attitude and if Danny can get the message over and the player are professional then we should have no worries on the night.
  7. I know and I should refrain from even responding but if he is a genuine fan then I seriously wonder why he bothers. We are all negative at times buthe has a Phd in it.
  8. Like the Earth going around the sun you are so feckin predictable zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. What surprises me is that you pull a score from out of thin air without any basis for your prediction. We have lost only 1 of the last 8 games and it will be a tough shift. We are not shipping goals and the team are playing well - you clearly were not there at the weekend when our first half performance had everything but a goal. I think you are either a troll or making some pathetic attempt to wind people up. The problem for you is that everyone knows your approach to every St Mirren game and you would make Victor Meldrew come over as the Laughing Cavalier. You have become tedious mate so go and support Rangers as they win all their games - then again you would probably have something negative to say even then. Call yourself a fan?
  9. Elvis will blame Danny Lennon for this I guess.
  10. Agree. As much as I love my team, I think the game is a bogey now and it amazes me that the Scottish beaks scratch their heads and wonder why attendances are not shooting up when the product is so much better without Rangers in the top tier? When a family can go to a warm cinema, enjoy a movie, have something to eat and petrol price is covered for less than sitting in a Baltic stadium having shelled out £23 for a ticket alone, then you can see one of the reasons people no longer go to watch the game - other than a sheer love and devotion to their team.
  11. He would be barking if he went to the blue vermin. Stick around Kenny, keep playing the way you are playing and sooner rather than later a big English club will come along and pay you a fair bit more than Rangers can/will.
  12. FFS it is Hibs we are playing and not Celtic. They are no better than us and have only scored 9 league goals. Appreciate that Goodie will be amiss despite many on here giving him pelters. Danny will need to change things but it is also about what we do and how well we play that will generally decide the outcome of the match. We are full of confidence so I think we will get a win or no less than a draw. KTF
  13. I think Hibs will be more concerned about us than we of them. A new manager can give some immediate bounce but is not always the case. They are still coming into this game on a bad run and a new manager can also make players try to hard to please and end up performing a lot worse. There are no players in that Hibs team that concern me and feel that on our form we should be able to match and beat them. They spend £200k on a striker who is nowhere near as good as Thommo. Danny's boys are up for this and hope we can reproduce the form of the last few weeks and, if so, can see us taking the 3 points.
  14. What the feck are you on mate?. Instead of hiding under various aliases (Gary Blue, Saint Sid et al) and acting like a prize prat, at least provide evidence of my hypocracy and that I 'slagged off' Gus McPherson? Also, where was Gus McPherson mentioned in my post when the whole basis of my answer to Elvis was around his negativity and decision to stay away from matches on the basis that we are not winning regularly. I am not a knickerwetter and have supported this team since 1967 and have seen much worse Saints teams particularly the early 70s. While I am unhappy with the way the results have gone this season and where we are in the league, I am not prepared to slag the team or manager or share the wholly unacceptable negative attitude to the same extent as some on here demonstrate. It does not mean I am clap-happy but realistic enough to accept that we are and always have been a small club scraping around the bottom of the league with a small support and a small budget. Danny Lennon is our manager until such times as he is removed or leaves. Gus did a good job but in the end it was the BOD who removed him as change was required (in both their eyes and those of the majority of fans). I support my club through thick and thin and share the disappointment and rare success it brings. If we perform poorly then I will say so and vent my spleen but it hurts for one day and then I move onto the next game. Quite how that makes me a hypocrite but I do agree with you that my post was amazing
  15. FFS, if we were in the second or third division and winning each week then you would go back and watch the team? We are in the top league and after 3 decent results lost to a very good team who were on top form on Saturday. I always believe that being a supporter meant supporting your team equally through the bad times as the good times. If you are indeed a supporter then you will be fully aware that supporting our team brings more pain than joy and has been the case for the last 40 odd years. The period in the late 70s and early 80s was a peak in performance but this is 2013 and trying to keep the club going in an era of cutback, little money and a changing culture towards the game in general. Be thankful we are still playing at the highest level and ask yourself would you swap places with Dunfermline, Dundee, Falkirk or the Unwashed? Your bleatings are now beyond a joke and if you are indeed that unhappy then why post on this forum? We have no divine right to be a top 6 club but remember one thing, our club is fairly stable while many others, including the team that pumped us at the weekend are millions in debt.
  16. I agree with Griff that this league is a strange one and other than Celtic every team is capable on beating each other. The score yesterday was poor but a few teams have had a gubbing this season - ICT lost by the same score to a team we beat last week and also lost to Plastics on their own ground. Every game will be tough no matter who we play. Our problems stem pre-season when sufficient quality was not brought in to deal with our weak defence. For that the manager must take some blame. We can just hope that we tighten up better and that we are able to deal in the Jan transfer market to bolster it. A second striker would also be useful as SB is not the answer from what I have seen of him and clearly Danny is thinking the same by leaving him on the bench. Just seen Danny's quote from the BBC "But we've given the players DVDs on the strengths and weaknesses to work on. WTF? Is it not his and TC's job to take the players through what needs to be worked on and maybe give them a DVD afterwards? As for strengths? Sorry Danny but there can't have been many on show yesterday when the team performed so poorly.
  17. How come you have such an interest in St Mirren when you do not support the club?
  18. Why is it always 3-0? Whatever happened to losing a close game by maybe 1-0 or 2-1. As far as I can tell Aberdeen have not signed the first team from Barcelona yet many think they will hump us bases on a decent performance against one of the poorest Falkirk sides in many years. Yes, they have some decent players but they are hardly worldbeaters now are they? I think the game will be much tighter and I forecast a 1-1 draw.
  19. If you are right then you can pick my lottery numbers mate
  20. Ach Mr Positive never lets us down. Still convinced you are a Morton fan as surely no-one from Paisley could be that negative whereas in Greencock I totally understand why that would be.
  21. Look, when we live in a society where kids at school cannot make Mother's Day or Father's Day cards in the event it offends any kids who don't have a Mother or Father and they have banned the use of Christmas and Easter in the school language because we may offend other religions then what chance do we have? Ba Ba Black Sheep cannot be used and neither can Big Ears of PC Plod from Noddy as it may offend, 3 little pigs was substituted in a school play because it may have offended someone who does not eat pork.
  22. Like the old joke "What's the difference between Iron Man and Iron Woman"? One is a super hero and the other is a command. FFS if we now go down the route of censoring comedy then every pub, club and TV show will be shut down with the exception of reruns of Terry and June and The Good Life.
  23. How on God's green earth has she risen so far as to getting her own show? There is only so much of falling down that you can do to raise a laugh. Unfunny and Sarah Millican with her feckin grating voice is not far behind her. Another one where the question is asked "how the f**k did she get her own show"? The female Michael McIntyre or Harry Hill.
  24. Taking nothing away from a very good Aberdeen performance, you do know it was Falkirk they were playing and not one of the SPL clubs? Falkirk were poor and created nothing but if you are going to take Aberdeen's performance as an indication of one that will hand out a 5-0 thrashing to our team, where does that leave Celtic who lost to an even lower league club than Falkirk on their own ground too? Hibs lost 3 goals to an even lower league club so does that imply that they will lose more than that when they play on Saturday to a much better team? Aberdeen will be high on confidence and on paper and on form should beat us comfortably. However, there is more at stake here with this game no just the future of the manager but also possibily certain players. If we play to our potential then we will make a good game of it and who knows, we know how Aberdeen are likely to play based on form, they have no idea how we will play with so much at stake. I am sure that Derek McInnes will not be taking this as lightly as you are by predicting a 5-0 mauling. If that was indeed how things turned out then rest assured that Danny will get his jotters and certain players will follow him out of the club in due course. I predict 1-1 or 2-2 in this game.
