  1. The worry must be that we won't even be able to compete at League 1 level. One would assume that most if this squad will shown the door as either dead wood, or sold on cheaply to cut costs further. TBH, I keep hearing about all this potential we have amongst the youngsters. Yet to see anything that suggests that to be the case. All very sad.
  2. Has GLS not already stated that he won't be putting his hand on his pocket to strengthen the squad? Well, if true so be it. Just as long as he's content to have seen our unbeaten record against Morton and likely relegation to the 3rd tier for the first time in our history on his watch.
  3. Way passed being depressed by this team. Seriously heading for couldn't care less. [emoji20]
  4. Hmmm.....our club now looks as if it is not good enough for the second tier of Scottish football.
  5. Sad to hear. One of those players you knew about, wae back when a bairn, fae the one English game that was always tagged on to the end of Sportscene on a Saturday night. Gettin' auld.....[emoji52]
  6. An overly expensive and complicated system given our position and gates. Having said that, frustrating as these things are for the above board fans, we need to acknowledge that such checks occur because there are way too many punters trying to screw their own club on the ticket front.
  7. Can't believe people are still talking as if we had an outside chance of a promotion play-off spot. On what basis? We are the poorest side in the division by a mile. This is not a side that has endured a run of rotten luck in games, resulting in defeats. It has deserved every loss that has come its way. Jack Ross finds himself in exactly the same position as Alex Rae was when he arrived. Take an overrated and underperforming group of players and try to formulate a plan to scrape enough points together to survive in this division. The only difference is that off field we have a new Board which has (hopefully) the ideas and energy to give the management team some hope and cash to improve the playing staff. Otherwise the downward will spiral continue.
  8. Decent start. The joke about getting banned fae Gregg's fur grazin' was brilliant.
  9. Last week I wondered what was the point of Webster. This week.....what is the point of Sutton?
  10. Stewart Gilmour got plenty of things right during his time but manager selection was definitely not one of them...... Think that assessment is a bit harsh. Three managers, TH, GMcPH and DL, two titles, a Bell's Cup win and the League Cup win is pretty good going. Outside the ugly sisters, just about every other club in Scotland would have loved to have a Chairman that could make such managerial choices. The 'failure' of SG and his Board was to secure sufficient monies to allow the club to build on its successes. They did so much to point excellent foundations in place but couldn't push on.
  11. Tired of hearing about how good the squad is ( even on paper). It's not good. We've simply replaced last season's wasters with an even poorer set this season. Division 1 here we come.
  12. Was lucky enough to get shown around the 1877 Club yesterday and I have to say I was impressed. Much bigger space than I thought.
  13. The notion of allowing ANY so-called colt teams into the league structure is beyond idiocy. Scottish football, which includes our OF 'friends', already has little merit or credibility. A situation enhanced by the officialdom and media through a constant obsession with certain clubs. So how do they plan to fix it? By destroying any vestige of sporting integrity and competition in the three lower leagues by pandering to the selfish whims of the 'big two'. It's already becoming difficult to get motivated to watch the dross on offer in the Scottish game. This move will be a confirmation that the professional game is just about finished. Nonetheless, there's every chance that enough clubs will vote through this nonsense. Time to find another interest of a Saturday afternoon.
  14. Prepare to be astounded Shull. Despite the grumbling of the fans I assume the 42 clubs voted for the joke of a revamped Challenge Cup. Scotland has too many clubs with no ambition other than to survive. When that's the case you have club Chairmen that'll pursue any change that puts cash in the till. Even when the evidence suggests otherwise.
  15. Don't know where the SPFL gets these stupid ideas from. Not one OF fan that I know has even made a passing mention about their 'Colt' sides playing in the Challenge Cup. They aren't interested....as is evidenced by the attendances.
  16. Can't see the point of another change in management just yet. TBH, I doubt another manager would do much more than what Rae did last season. Stabilise things and keep us in the Championship. In all honesty, the problems remain off field. The club is in a downward spiral and it'll take a helluva a job by the new Administration to stop the decline sooner rather than later. Only then will any manager be able to start building something on the park.
  17. The lad looks lost in this shambolic side. Matter of time before his agent starts unsettling him before a move in January.
  18. It was so bad I left just before we equalised. Just outside the Main Stand when it went in.....didn't even break stride on the way to the station. Rather be gardening to be honest. Never seen such an excuse for a collection footballers in my life.
