  1. Anyone able to name the guy 2nd from right on back row?
  2. That funeral will be fun. As they bring the coffin out of the hearse the undertaker will be guiding appropriately. To me....to you....to me......... RIP Barry.
  3. Whits Bobby Torrance and the Mad Monk up to these days?
  4. The exact type of player we need. Looks to have a good touch as well as the powerful build.
  5. Looks like we missed out on a good one here!
  6. Yeah. Scored the fifth. Signed off in style. Of course, returned to Love Street at the start of the next season and got sent back to London with a 3-0 defeat.
  7. Loved the Hearts 6-2 match. Had beaten them 5-2 in the final match of the previous season and they were all out for revenge. 'We'll not be losing 5-2 again' their manager was saying. He was right! They didn't.
  8. The main difference between JR and AS is that Jack had to work with what he had Stubbs is able to bring in his own players from the start. He has brought some in but when the chips were down last night and we offered nothing up front, he chose to leave his own two attacking signings on the bench!
  9. Never been to Hampden for a Queens Park game before only international's and semis/finals. Assume we can use the car park for this one?

Two stunning strikes from Mallan. Well worth a watch. At least you can see them. Was a lot of mist during the game and could see much of a couple of the goals.
  11. All sorted now. No North/south divide. Instead no-ones talking to anyone else!
  12. Not in recent years. Back to the 20s. But we survived and a century later we are still here. This was basically pre season thanks to the changes in the competition. Not time to panic.
  13. Many many worse! Off the top of my head Hammarby, cup final 2010, many defeats to lower league teams on the 80s. Going further back we have lost to non league teams before. All these games were later in the season when the team was "a team" Last night shows that we are not gelled yet and there is still some work to do. The league season is still a couple of weeks away. That is when I will judge.
  14. Can see Rogers, Heaton, Kellerman, King and Cooke getting a start in this one. Rest of the team depends on anymore dealings before then.
  15. Not sure about that Mbappe. Not proven at the top flight of Scottish football or English non league!
  16. Now you're just naming academy graduates beginning with M!!
  17. I posted at the time that I met him in the club shop before that game and he was buying a top and some other stuff. I made a joke about times being hard and him having to buy his own strip. His reply was that he was just giving back to the club for all they had done for him. As you say. A well grounded young man who In years to come I will be proud to say got his break at St Mirren and it was a pleasure to watch him play. His career will depend on his dreams. If he dreams big he will achieve big. I will watch with interest.
  18. Captain Walter Hay and keeper Jimmy McCloy 1934
  19. Typical Morgan goal. Takes it from own half into box cut inside and slip it past keeper. Much as he is playing for them I will watch his career as I genuinely think he will go much further than the scottish leagues.
  20. No. Will be one for Sunderland though. And the league cup games.
  21. Yes. U21 international v Denmark in 1998
