  1. By all accounts (I'm on another continent) Plummer has been the best player on the park for us, in both games so far. So don't see why we need to sign another type of centre half just to try and help McAusland play better! So the day's of blaming Potter, Mair, McGregor, and Goodwin for McAusland's 'moments' are over. If he continues to put in performances as described, whilst Plummer strolls through games, no-one can blame his defensive partner. If Plummer is as good as described, we should look to capitalise on his season with us, and get in an experienced centre half, ala Michael Duberry at St Johnstone, full of experience to play beside him. McAusland can fill in off the bench where necessary. Because I really can see us progressing up the league when McAusland is a cast iron first pick, let alone Captain.
  2. People have a difference of opinion. Unbelievable.
  3. Ffs...I base my opinion on what I saw and John Sutton's reaction. He doesn't react like he was fouled. Therefore it must look worse than whatever it was obviously. Your more outraged at me on a fans forum than Sutton was after the incident. Says it all.
  4. Never takes his eyes off the ball, gets straight back up and gets back involved on the game. Doesn't grab or hold his neck, doesn't even look at Goodwin, doesn't shout or complain or appeal for a foul. Amazing restraint from someone who just received a forearm smash to the neck! Or maybe, it just looks worse than whatever it was.
  5. John Sutton does not react like a man who has just been whacked in the neck from behind. Not remotely.
  6. If that's the case John Sutton deserves a medal, for total non reaction to being elbowed in the head/neck.
  7. Sutton has absolutely no reaction to anything. Yes he is on the ground but he continues to watch the game and picks himself back up. His hands don't go and grab his back like he has been hit, and he doesn't even look or acknowledge Goodwin is near him. Linesman has had a shocker.
  8. Just watched the highlights...Goodwin got a bit of a raw deal. He gets the ball actually for his first booking. Though it looked bad, and was a tad rash. As for the second one...its not an elbow. Sutton has tried to buy a free kick off the ref, failed, but got Goodwin sent off via the linesman. You see that type of contact in every game, every time there is a long ball played.
  9. Doesn't look like an elbow on the highlights. Looks lik an arm in the back, forward feels contact and hits the deck. The type of thing you see every single game.
  10. Sigh...read the conversation and try and figure out who said you needed to be a premier league manager to have an opinion. (Hint...it wasnt me) Oh and fyi we are both saying the exact same thing! (You'd figure that out if you read the thread properly)
  11. Nope...'eddie' asked another fan which premier league club he had managed when criticizing his opinion. I congratulate the parents of these fine young men...not their youth team co manager.
  12. In that he barely has any? Thanks for the confirmation.
  13. I note you haven't mentioned which team you've managed. You clearly can't be objective about Reilly. Dunno why. The guy needs to go on loan and show what he can do. He won't get that opportunity with us due to Thompson, and the fact we play 1 up front. However he seems to be quite comfortable in his situation, as it is. Which is disappointing.
  14. More the fact that if it was anyone else the staff would tell them to get off, but hey...its Mairzo. So its fine. But aye...just play over the top of his metafit.
  15. His loan spell did Stevie May absolutely no harm! Loan spell is especially important for young strikers to find the back of the net. Go out on loan, score 10-15 goals, and come back with confidence sky high. Or...sit on the bench, sometimes not even making the bench like Reilly. He is too comfortable where he is in my opinion.

  17. I got the invite....was just going to let Dave's mistake go unmentioned!
  18. Perhaps the problem with our central defence IS the fact that McAusland is considered the No. 1 centre half. It is a position in our team which we need improvement imo.
  19. Yes I knew that, My point was that we are 8 people into the waiting list regardless of whether that person had responded or not. In weeks like this it is always a rush to fill the game. Nothing to do with selfishness on the majority of folks part.
  20. 6 people declined, they didn't ignore the invite. If you were halfway down the waiting list would you really be checking your emails for an invite.
  21. 6 declines mean that it is folk from the standby list who have yet to respond.
  22. 400k when only 1 team appear seriously interested is not too bad. Especially if we can get some clauses in there, sell on, promotion etc. In a perfect world 1 or 2 more teams will show their interest, and in turn drive up the asking price. Thats the only way we get the price rising, a bidding war. Hope he has an absolute blinder for the u21's tomorrow.
  23. He did have a great game in the semi final, his best in the 2 years he spent with us. He also let it be known that he had no intenion of playing as a left back on a regular basis.
