  9. It certainly felt that way. While we never did the OF in the '87 cup run putting out the 'Ton was great but sweeter still doing the jam tarts at Hampden.
  10. Very well put. I'd agree that was exacty what the director was getting at. There was a point in the rape scene when a bypasser see's the attack, at a distance, and walks on without getting involved. No glorification no cheap thrills, just the horrible cold reality of an innocent being overcome by an aggressor. I can't remember any other discussion on rape ever making such an impact. Who started this discussion in the first place .....
  11. There is indeed, it was highly distressing to watch, might have been 10 minutes long but it felt like hours - it was fuggin torture to view. As Colin and Herbie have both said its a brilliantly made film and presented to the viewer in an unusual way. Maybes I'm getting fragile with the advancing years, but I'd never care to see it again.
  12. Well I live and learn Much as I thought Irreversible was a brilliant film I'm not sure I could ever watch it, again. I can't recall seeing a more disturbing film. Repeat viewing(s) - then you're made of stronger stuff than I am, Herbie.
  13. 1. Irreversible 2. Donnie Darko 3. My Dinner With Andre 4. The Lost Weekend 5. Momento
  14. That 6 - 2 game was amazing, 6 different players scored for us that day. If memory serves me correctly Hearts scored first, too. For younger readers of this site, in the mid 80's we really hated Hearts, it felt like a derby when we played them.

  18. er, beg to differ. Prairie Wind its not the equal of Harvest or Gold Rush, but it only falls just short. HHIBSS, I'd be very surprised if you didn't really enjoy the album, atmospheric and restrained - fantastic. If you are after Crazy Horse - then don't approach it.
  19. Prairie Wind - Neil Young Blinking Lights and Other Revelations - Eels At This Time - Burt Bacharach Funeral - The Arcade Fire. Supranature - Goldfrapp
  20. Slavia Prague 3 nil Hearts in the semi final in 87 3 nil at Parkhead 1 nil at Ibrox, the Mad Monk 2- 1 at Raith, when every Saints fan totally lost it - except those that'd left 5 mins early...
