Lorca- anyone who can write, in connection with shagging,

Her thighs escaped me like surprised fish,

Half filled with embers, half filled with ice.

That night I ran—best runner of all the roads,

Mounted on a pearly steed, neither saddle nor bridle.

deserves to be here

Betjeman- much better than most think- "The death of King George V" is a cracking poem

Burns- of course A nice wee ditty on our royal family

Wilf Owen

and finally

feckit there's too many cracking poets to confine it to 5 and I'd just change my mind in 5 minutes. :P

Bitchface lets him off the leash,

To enjoy a “small†libation,

On the Jaybees bus all over the land,

And enchant the Saint Murn nation

The Buds & wrestling, punk & Rush,

These are his greatest pleasures,

But got huckled by the fashion cops,

For wearing pish-soaked made-to-measures

My top five:-

1. Rabbie

2. Banjo Paterson

3. John Hegley

4. Phil Lynott

5. Neil Peart
