So Farewell Then Acker Bilk

I was in Bangor where I now live in 1962 at BB camp with the Mighty 4th.Paisley. Acker Bilk was appearing live at the Tonic cinema and from memory we got free or very cheap tickets to the show and it was absolutely brilliant. He twigged there was a crowd of young Scottish lads in the audience and he took the piss out of us mercilessly but nicely. It was great craic. Stranger On The Shore is a terrific piece of nostalgia for guys of my generation. RIP Acker.
