    • Conflict in the Ukraine and middle east?  Aye, that's down to the UK.  As I said, we can all be selective in quoting certain points so, let's go............ The UK has one of the fastest growing economies, out doing France, Germany, Italy and the US Since the pandemic, remember that, the UK GDP (look that up) is running at 6%, , slightly behind the Euro but miles ahead of Germany The IMF (look them up as well) strongly predict the UK will maintain a steady growth rate in the G&, only slightly behind the US Migration has, finally dropped like a stone, interest rates, despite turmoil elsewhere in the world, is under control. On a more local note, considering you think everyone is poor, football attendance continue to rocket, maybe the benefit system is fuelling that? On a similar vane the sales of tickets for music concerts in the UK are booming, god knows where these people find the money.  The NHS is ALWAYS a disaster, nothing new there. Anyhow, as I said, we can play ping pong all day, I think I've proved my point. Thanks for playing.  PS As for cloud cuckoo land, if you want to see a team playing bigger teams in pre season friendlies nip up to Ibrox or Parkhead as St Mirren are, obviously not up to your expectations.          Thanks.
    • I've long thought you live in cloud cuckoo land but stopped reading after 'The uk is doing ok' 🤣  Huge Gov debt resulting in paying £111 BILLION a year in interest. (about the same as we spend on education) over a million under 24's not in work, education or training, justice system a joke, nhs a disaster, the navy got almost a whole fleet being fixed, Unemployment at 4.9% and rising, welfare state completely out of hand, illegal immigration, energy charges, continued conflictd in middle east and ukraine, cost of living crisis........ And thats just off the top of my head. If thats your ok I'd hate to see your bad.
    • So, Starmer resigns.  I'm mixed on this TBH.  These days, more and more like America, it's the person rather than the policies that people "vote" on.  The UK is, even in these turbulent times, doing OK. (Taking into account we can all pick certain issues to prove or disprove this)  His involvement in the disastrous appointment of Mandelson has damaged him irreparably, hard to argue how big a fcuk up that was.  He's, IMO, done pretty well on the international stage, again, in difficult times.  Enter stage right Burnham.  As I posted previously I think he'll give Reform a real doing.  As for the bigger picture of running the country, well, here's hoping. 🤞
