IIRC the Tories were second at the GE (and I was) - the combined Reform/Tory vote was 74%.
Perhaps if a secular Saint could be persuaded to run, say David Beckham (East End boy), but other than that no.
Funny thing is we're only 3 weeks on from the Makerfield by-election, if Sir Keir hadn't resigned he might look a bit stronger now.
Given the fact the 3 majo parties actually had more votes, I wonder what would happen if an independent ran on a ticket of, "at least I'm not Nigel Farage".
