That's the thing, back in the day a transfer fee and contract length were usually given - more information than nowadays. Today contracts are much more complicated with release clauses, automatic extensions if a player makes a certain number of appearances, extension options for both club & player  - much less pertinent information now. Freckleton is 23 in August with his contract up at the end of this season - if we get an offer do we stick or twist? As fans we just don't know enough and like you say probably never will.  Sleep in the arms of the Dragon.    

Its what happens when you have the equivalent of a bowling club committee and a charity running the show. And if you think ths is bad just watch the season unfold!!!
