The BBC sure know how to spend our licence fee. On Reporting Scotland they had two reporters in a bar in Boston interviewing each other. Then we had another inside the stadium and yet another in North Carolina. Now that would also mean separate camera crews. No doubt we'll have even more commenting on the match and, if normal service is continued, even more in a studio in the states, possibly watching the game on a screen. No wonder they are begging for even more licence fee money.
As the tournament begins today, it seems enthusiasm is growing with hopes that Scotland might progress at last. With so many teams and 32 able to go through , it’s the best chance yet. May even be possible, apparently, to scrape through in third place with 3 points. Whilst not an ardent Scotland fan, it would be good to see them succeed although my fear is with the defensive set up which I fear will be the Achilles heel. It’s just my opinion but elimination at the group stage is the most likely outcome. We shall see.
