Apologies, should have made it clear it was NHS Scotland.  Doesn't change the reality, a ludicrous idea and, thankfully, most councils have binned this costly nonsense.  Oh, "hard working" across the board for the NHS is also another fairy tale. 

This bit is important. "I want to ensure that our hard-working NHS staff have that opportunity, so I am pleased to confirm all NHS Scotland staff will benefit from the extra holiday." My sector is in the same boat as the NHS and we will get the extra holiday but not all will get it on that day.
