Youth team regular (4/14)

  1. What you think of the merits of shutting down society is irrelevant. There are rules set out, we didn't follow them, got found out... hence we get punished. We should be investigating why we didn't follow those rules (as daft as they may seem) and chin those who were responsible for it. Maybe not officially, but forfeiting games has always been on the table as a potential punishment. So the risks of failing to adhere to the rules were known, which makes it even more reckless than we didn't do so.
  2. As much as you may think the rules are ridiculous in the context, which they may be, the fact we didn't adhere to them means we deserve all we get. Once the rules are in place you have to follow them... end of really. The fact that we haven't is ridiculous, completely amateurish. I mean car sharing ffs. It's difficult to imagine that the club management, across the board, weren't aware this was happening. From reading the initial statement the club don't appear to be accepting responsibility for it, which is even more alarming. The statement gives the impression that we were expecting to be let off with it because we've been 'honest'. Very strange thinking.
  3. Assuming you can buy a ticket at the ground for this one?
  4. Do you know if the club have any plans to change it? It's a bit odd the biggest income generator section of the site (I would've thought!) offers such a poor experience. The website is generally very good, it's a shame the ticketing side of things reflects badly on the club. The content guys must find it really frustrating too to be unfairly associated with it!
  5. There was a big rammy between Motherwell and St Mirren fans after the first home game of the season in the middle of the road as you approach the train station. No idea who was involved, but it was a bunch of young guys on both sides. It seems to be a 'problem' match at the moment, so it's little wonder there's a bigger police presence at those particular games. Standing on seats isn't the most heinous of crimes, but if you've been told not to and then repeatedly continue to do so.... well you're then just being a bit of a fanny. To then claim victimisation on that basis is laughable.
  6. Does anyone know if there are there any tickets left for this game and anyway to actually purchase them?
  7. McAllister has been injured for pretty much the entire time he's been down there.
  8. Supervisor at ground saying that st mirren told Dunfermline that we'd bring between 500-700 fans today... hence the 30 minute wait to get in the ground.
  9. They over subscribe all audience screenings by about 25-30% to ensure a big enough audience for the laughter track. Because they're free tickets a lot of people don't turn up.
  10. A good performance and in the end a good point. Goes without saying that 3 points is what we're after, but given the context of the game and dunfermline's current run we could certainly have come away with worse. There's still time to turn this round although it's stating the obvious that it's still a very tough ask. A lot of fight and hustle in the team today, the injuries didn't allow us to replace loy or in particular storie who were both blowing hard by the 75 min mark. As someone has already stated the next 3 league games are massive.
  11. Top Cat, what happened to your mantra of always giving a manager six months before considering the sack?
  12. Just to play devils advocate. I guess the difference is that if you've paid a joining fee upfront (equivalent to 5 months membership), and then paid each month you might be a bit miffed if within 6 months of the club opening it was a free for all? Particularly if there's then a high risk that you can no longer get access to the club because it's full up. If a gym did that, particularly after encouraging ppl to sign up now whilst they can because demand is high, then they could look a bit disingenuous. I'm not saying that's what's happened (it hasn't) or that's what's planned, but it might be worth consulting members or at least notifying them ahead of any significant changes being made rather than not consulting them on anything. Fwiw I'm not a member and my circumstances mean I'd very rarely, if ever, use the club. I do hope it's as busy and as successful as it possibly can be though.
