This week's offerings, Bank of Dave, heartwarming truish story of setting up an independent bank in Burnley, really enjoyable pick me up sort of thing. Secondly, came across a documentary film called Wildcat, tough watch at times but if you are a cat lover you'll get the relationship between the lad and the Ocelot but my does it highlight the suffering some of our ex military personnel go through with mental health

I get that but to be able to progress and have a stab at europe we need to go through a few 'disappointing' top 6 seasons to be ready for it.

Top 6 means we know what our budget is for next season and can plan to sort the squad out quickly, Europe would be lovely but will cost us money and is probably at least 1 season too soon for us assuming we continue to progress.

I'm sure the attendance figures will be adjusted to ensure we get a smaller share of the gate money. If it was a league match they would claim the attendance including season ticket holders who didn't show but for a cup game it will be the actual numbers through the gate whether season tickets or other schemes included cup games.

To be fair to Elvis, at least he is consistent and I'm sure we all want him to be consistently wrong.

It is a shame that programmes appear to be a thing of the past and the corresponding effort in producing anything innovative has waned. In most cases there is a standard 'brand' version that clubs will stick to, which is fine as far as it goes but there is scope for 'special' editions, remembrance day, cup matches, christmas etc where a bit of extra effort would go a long way but I personally am not a fan of trotting out old style covers for every game for the nostalgic benefit of a few people.

Indeed it does seem to be a quite ridiculous rule, however, it isn't new and they knew it was there despite their oversight so face the corresponding punishment, daft as it may seem

I maybe didn't express my point as I intended, he has been at the club for a long time under other managers before getting the gig, he has been in the fortunate position of being the continuity over that period and it suits him hence my square peg comment, moving to another club without having the benefit of that continuity is where the tricky part lies and like I said I'm not convinced. So lucky was clearly not the right word.

And so it should! Plenty said on this forum about certain players and their past, should be no different for managers either, Martindale is lucky, he's a square peg in a square hole, move and I'm far from convinced he'd do well elsewhere.

MrsS and I watched Enola Holmes 2 and Shotgun Wedding last night, both enjoyable easy watch movies not Oscar quality but entertaining enough.

Indeed, we've lost a player who hardly featured for whatever reason and Olusanya who again hasn't played much and brought back two young players who are both match fit and have scored goals recently albeit at a lower level, other than Henderson, who could give us something different, I don't really think we're that much worse off, the issue will be how much have our rivals strengthened while we've stood still.

Was hoping we'd get city status and could have called the City of Paisley Stadium as it is St Mirren Park would do me fine.

Makes sense, needs game time and Robinson obviously sees something in him for next year, and if it helps Arbroath avoid relegation all the better for our east of Scotland contributor.
