FT 0-0 Second half followed much the same pattern as the first, scrappy. Hearts had a good chance half way through on the volley, over the bar. We are, well organised. 7 games, every single 1 of them close. Not more than a goal in it either way In every game. We are fine defensively, thought Broadfoot was excellent last week and today. What a signing he looks. We just lack that bit of quality and spark going forward. When/if we find that, we will be fine. If we don’t, there’s going to be a lot more 0-0 draws.

Andreu and Morais off and Obika and Mullen on. Positive. Second half much the same as first so far, scrappy with no real chances.

Prolly won’t.

HT 0-0 Prolly about right, both sides huffed and puffed without offering much. Although we had a goal disallowed by a late flag about 25 mins in. Looked tight but prolly correct, would like to see it again though. Think a draw would be... ok here. Just don’t lose.

FT 2-1 Yeah similar to first half review, overall we deserved to lose. Spent last night laughing at Morton and Dundee. Livingston are the absolute antithesis to those clubs. They have much less fans than both, but unlike those two, they are really well run on and off the pitch. They stayed up comfortably last season and they will stay up comfortably this season too. They even have their ticket system in order for goodness sake. And when their manager is in hospital (get well soon) they are still a well drilled and disciplined side. Well done Livi, you’re doing football right. For us... not much to add. We narrowly lost an away game to a team who are better than us. On another day we may have snatched a point but we can have no complaints. Onto Dingwall!

HT 1-0 Yeah fair reflection. Livi are quite a good team. Better than us anyway, so far. Goal is corner, header, net. Could defend it better, but. Only 1 in it so... guess game is on 2nd half. Need to be so much better all over the park if we are going to avoid defeat though.

Livi faves for this one today. Finished above us last year, are above us this year, are at home and had a cracking win up in Dingwall last week. Draw would be a good result for us. I think Goody will and should persist with same the 11 from the last two weeks and we will see McAllister and Junior off the bench second half. Will be optimistic and go 1-1.

Two big decisions in the game went against us today. We should have had a penalty first half and there should have been a free kick for us before Waters fouled Defoe for Rangers goal. Another day one or both of them goes for us and we get something from the game. For teams like us to get anything from games against the Old Firm we need to be well organised and have a bit of luck. Today we were organised, we just didn’t have that bit of luck.

FT 0-1 Played well and done by a wonder free kick in the end. Had a couple of half chances to equalise but scoreline probably fair in the end. Plenty of positives again though, our opening 3 games have been against 3 of last seasons top 5 and we’ve been well in every game and won 1 of them. Next 3 are Livi, Ross County and Hamilton, will have a better idea of where we’re at after them.

HT 0-0 Yeah we’ve been good. First half hour we competed well, hit the bar and had a few half chances. Last 15 we retreated a bit too deep and was backs to the wall a bit. Still, we are clearly very well drilled and organised and The New Club are struggling to break us down. Foley and Flynn are doing a great job of screening the back four.

Completely vindicated in his choice of emptying the PE teacher and replacing him with a proper manager. Great job Gordon.

Was so refreshing seeing Flynn and Foley bombing around the middle of the park, making tackles, blocks and passes. Proper central midfield performance from the two of them and surely our first choice starting central midfield pairing from now on. Hard to see how the captain gets back in if they’re fit.

FT 1-0 Beautiful stuff. Fantastic result and well deserved. That’s the best top flight performance I’ve seen from St Mirren in over 5 years. We only beat one top six team last year, and that was a shite Hearts team v Adam Hamill. Goodwin has got us playing to a level already that we never reached last term. He’s built a well balanced squad with some exciting additions, Durmus, McLoughlin and Foley were all superb today. The league cup knicker wetters in our support have been well and truly proven wrong. Rode our luck a bit at times second half, Aberdeen had a decent looking penalty shout turned down. Overall we did enough though. Absolutely delighted, finally got a team and manager to be proud of here... buzzing for the rest of the season.

HT 1-0 Excellent stuff from Saints and well worth our lead, if anything we should be further ahead. Durmus has been fantastic and took his goal superbly, should have had a second with a free header shortly after. He had a chance with an overhead at the end of the half too, he looks like a great find. Last 15 minutes Aberdeen came back into it a bit but we soaked them up at the back fine, McLoughlin looking good so far. Big 45 coming up here, a win would be huge. Hope we don’t live to regret those missed opportunities....
