I'm hoping the signings to " exite the fans " will be youngsters that are really fast , and on the verge of first team football in England , a couple of attacking players in the same mould as that left back from Middlesborough will be nice.
He left Hibs in not bad shape , between them Rice , Stubbsy and Jackson will have seen a few players over the last season , and will have decent enough contacts to put a decent team together , our problem is , we,ve not seen the team.play yet , so can't really measure the quality of the signings
Plan on watching the game in nearby Alva , look forward to seeing our new players and hope to see the bones of a right good team , the fixtures fall relatively well for us , and three straight wins after tomorrows game should take us through to the next stage , and also allow us to evolve as a team , and get a clear idea of our best starting eleven .
Might be looking at a guy that can play a couple of positions , say right wing / right back , hoping he,s got a few decent options in line for the " McGinn " money when it comes
Think he might fancy Hippolyte , as he has a decent throw on him , likewise I think he might persevere with Mullen too as he has a decent attitude and work rate , interesting to see who starts , who,s on the bench , and who,s not rated , come Friday.
What I can't understand is why English teams a quite happy to pay Celtic over the odds for a player , but won't compete with Celtic to sign a player for a fraction of the price .
One way of looking at it is , an experienced player signing for us , has probably peaked career wise , whilst an inexperienced player has probably not reached his peak . Exited a seeing how the new recruits fare on Friday
Pretty much sums up how I feel , I would also like us to play attractive football , that creates loads of chances . Looking forward to see Josh Heaton play , he looks hard as ..... Don't think many teams will bully us this year .
Maybe you,ve accidently come up with a great idea , but a partnership with a car auction company would work really well , with all of the above part of the facility
would only work if a few other things happened in the area , such as a rail link to the airport or some sort of gym facility in the area , or if someone can come up with an ingenious idea for the car park , ( which why I think a massive gym in the area might work )
I think one of the problems is that we have not had the chance to see any friendlies , or get any idea of how the new players are bedding in , I,m actually quite exiting about the team we are trying to put together , all seem young fit , and with a point to prove .
Think a wee extension on one of the ends with a couple of toilets and a catering facility in it would allow us to split the stand for two supports for some games ,
Alloa chairman Mike Mulraeney on his twitter page has advised fans to keep an eye on the Alloa Athletic twitter page over the weekend , wonder if that means they,ve signed Stewart and Kilpatrick from us .
Two of those names surprise me , Stubbsy,s not messing around , noticed he,s got a big lad up from England that can play left back / centre half up on trial , this season looks like its going to be very interesting .
the family season ticket @ £235 for a parent and two kids is superb value for money , worth getting flyers out for the friendly games ,and betfred cup games .
Also worth planning a half season variation of this season ticket which would an excellent Christmas present .
very much my opinion , only I can see him quoting homesickness / wife struggled to adapt to life in England as his excuse , when he looks to get a move back North at Christmas.
