  1. Love your description of 'Spoons. Bit worrying that you have such an obvious in-depth knowledge of its offers and practices, however...
  2. And the above would be the optimistic outcome, at best....
  3. And more. for Wolves and Haiti. too good?
  4. Ah! on the corner of the buildings leading into a car park? NW end? I'd come down Kilnside road then through to Cochran Street via Dixon Street. Looked right and saw nowt... then walked down to Seedhill Road. Sorry for being sceptical.
  5. Eh.... wandered along Cochran Street earlier today. Nae wee shop... :
  6. Ta for that. good collection of old images gathered together. Soundtrack was good, I thought, (though I dunno the artistes), and appropriate on here cos the lyrics and melody were originals by the statue guy standing outside the Toon Hall - and as a good Buddie - he's always there to watch the team celebrate and lift the cupsssss. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Tannahill
  7. There was a wee dairy about same place (if it was LacyStreet) and Jackie Neilson lived above it. but I believe it IS Cochran St, cos of the line of ‘park’ trees on the right of the picture. (check oot the pretty shadows...)
  8. No paisleytrains from Glesca Central tonight (Saturday), too. a fast bus service along the M8 though.
  9. Just watched a compilation of his goals. good left peg and he’s not easily knocked over. hope he can do the same in games where he may not have great service/support. can he defend?
  10. The glib and shameless liar, King has deposited (apparently) circa £10m in a UK account as directed by TOPS - in order for those who wish him to buy shares from them can be sold at a price that wasn't manipulated by the little group King led in his takeover. He has tried his best to avoid this scenario but ye cannae keep running from the law, which grinds exceeding slow. Some Loyal Bears like Ally the gardener have said they won't take advantage of the money spinning offer. Interesting times and sweaty bum time for sevco's Mr King waiting to see how many take advantage of this licence to cut their losses...
  11. Glaswegians pronounce the following sentence as any BBC newsreader might. "Seven sore seats at a party". Whereas... me and my Buddies pronounced it, "Seevin sair sates et a pairty". And as for "so" at the start of a sentence.... It's er…. like.... well... the old reason - to give the user time to think what they're gaunie say. Or, if you listen to politicos using it in an interview, it's to ignore the question being put to them, then to continue their previous line of answering or to veer in a different direction from that intended by the interviewer. Good interviewers understand that, see it as weakness now and it's good to see them keep pressing with the same question, which often then does get an answer, as it can't be avoided. IMHO
  12. Ah usetae catch tadpoles and baggy-minnows in the burn beside the flat grass, across the road from those Mills. i also played cricket there. For the school, not brilliantly, but well enough... in those days I thought the cricket pitch to be an immense space.
  13. 45k per week!? Pah! Cheesy widnae ruffle his duvet for such a paltry sum.
  14. My apologies. i thought the newclub club had given that up, for tax purposes.
  15. Those were tough questions and they were up against a talented couple. Did well, though. Better luck ramorra…. or whenever...
  16. Some interesting stuff, here: The only problem is that it's factual and a slim majority of voters have no interest in such shite.
  17. "change letters 2 and 3"? Is this youse getting intae Algebra, noo?
  18. We shouldn’t forget OK’s first match in charge. I felt sure Saints would be slaughtered that day. funny old game...
  19. His name isn’t “morelos”: he wasn’t wearing a light blue jersey. an appeal is a waste of money..
