The choice he presents is minimal - for the poor Cork cooncillor is sign here and break the law... Or to hope for the best...
Not just to break the laws of the EU but also laws of morality.
From the start of this thread he has turned a blind eye to big companies making a mint from a population and contributing as little as possible to that community.
Apart from having access to a market, they benefit from an educated workforce, roads, rail, airports, Internet connectivity, water.... All provided by the host community, but they don't pay their fair share.
A decent company and a decent government should be ensuring the best outcome for society. Not, in the case of the Irish government - turning a blind eye and not, in Apple's case bullying and exploiting a desperate community.
