  1. No but I'm sure its as reliable as Kpekawa's defending
  2. I heard from a guy who sits near me in the west stand, who heard it on good authority, from a guy who knows someone on P&B that Darren Jackson is getting a cut from the transfers because he's setting up deals with his old agent buddies. Guaranteed reliable info.
  3. Is it just me or has he lost a shit load weight in that photo. Stress must be getting to him.
  4. Not sure about the game but looking forward to the day out on Saturday. When a team is on a roll the football Fairies often through a spanner in the works and derail them. Maybe they will smile on us on Saturday because Hearts are Definitely on a roll. Get well soon Craig Levein, looks like the football fairies have started already. We'll take a win on Saturday but hopefully your fit again in time to take points of the Old firm and our mini league opponents too. Oops. Think I boobed with that image. Probably just made him more ill.
  5. We got our tickets last week and apparently got the last ones for the lower tier. Unless that was just sales patter. So a reasonable support going but expensive if you don't have a ticket
  6. Feck you've got a team of Triplets. That's cheating.
  7. Love them or hate them. It seems that even Shull needs them. Why just Scotland. Is that so you have an excuse to support one of them should they go to England. Would Sevco be you're "English" team. Just wondering
  8. What I find amusing is how every Manager in this thread has Kpekawa in their starting 11 when just about everyone on the forum thinks he's gash and are crying for Stubbs to get shot of him. Didn't see that coming.
  9. ALAN STUBBS, Movie star signings, fan interaction and tactics THE PAST Ok we know Stubbs was a great player and performed well for Everton and Celtic. We also know he achieved Legend status at Hibs for winning the cup but he didn’t do too well when it came to getting them promoted. We also know that just like Jack Ross, he didn’t try to build on his success. He used it to further his own career. According to the Journalist who summarised his Rotherham career he got the job on the back of an A1 interview which caused the chairman to change his recruiting strategy and hire a younger manager with a vision instead of a seasoned experienced championship veteran. Stubbs had a strategy to play a certain type of passing game which the players at Rotherham and his signings didn’t get the hang of and he blamed his lack of results on individual player errors and players not following instructions or adapting to his system. He had little interaction with the fans and was not prone to showing passion or emotion for the club. He was set in his ways and met criticism with “Have you seen how broad these shoulders are? Bring It on” He was obviously confident in his system and ability he just needed the players to make it work and Rotherham could have been world beaters. They only gave him 40 odd days or from August to October or whatever. Rotherham obviously had no vision and got shot of him pronto. The fans didn’t like him, and the chairman decided “Bye” Could they not see his vision and help him succeed. The PRESENT St Mirren needed a Manager. There were all sorts of fantasy applicants. Gutti and Klivert evaporated, Neilson wouldn’t touch it with a barge pole and we were left with Stubbs or Kenny Shiels nephew as the only candidates. Stubbs had an A1 interview. He got the Job. Fitzy raves about him and the season starts. Fans split down the middle on the appointment. Most wanted the guys who wouldn’t touch us as their preferred manager. His team followed. Rice comes in to little reaction, Dazza comes on Board, Meltdown. A poor out of work TV pundit with a bit of history and an unsuccessful spell as an agent who ended up bankrupt because of attempts to become a producer in the movie world. Feck it could have happened to anyone, but he wasn’t a popular choice. We get a decent result with a makeshift team on day one and then it goes to shit. People start to refer to Stubb, moviestar signings who can’t get a game and moan about his marquee signings that don’t arrive. It appears Jamie Vardy becomes more influential in staffing St Mirren than Fitzy. The product on the park becomes mince and instead of moving forward we lose momentum and fight disappears from the team. Stubbs blames individual errors and urges us all to stick together. As things get worse he never plays the same team twice but to his credit he starts to fleetingly mention fans in his interviews. He must have learned from Rotherham. His message, “Don’t worry we need to get players in help out the Squad. Everyone needs to understand their role, help each other out and stick together. It’s frustrating but We will get through this.” Meanwhile rumours of fallouts in the dressing room and players leaving are rife. A mate of mate in the pub or a guy on P&B all have inside knowledge on all the reasons we are shit and who is leaving next. The players don’t like Dazza by the way. THE FUTURE So will we get through it? Will we see some drive, energy and performances from the team? Will Stubbs be able to impart his vision of his preferred passing system, which Rotherham missed out on, and make Saints world beaters. Will football ever be fun again? Shouldn’t we just cut the guy some slack? Feck even Rotherham gave him more time than this! Hopefully once the players understand his passing Vision we will see improvements? It will be just like a movie with a happy ending. Just don’t let Dazza anywhere near the production team. Surely its too early for a new management team??????????????????????
  10. Why would a club be allowed to give out addresses of season ticket holders ffs. That's outrageous. I've been told they will be 'accompanying' the drum section to away games..an explanation from the club is in order I think..if you think it's justifiable, I guess you know more than me or you're a troll from another club Mill Street Police Station Cop : "Sarge there's been 15 housebreakings in Glenburn any chance of some overtime and a couple of the boys will work on and catch them" Sarge: "Naw. Do you no know about austerity, Government cut backs and the reduced police budget" Cop : " Sorry sarge, Ah forgot about that. what am I doing today?" Sarge: " Take PC Morton and head over to Aberdeen with W7 and their drum. There will be overtime, travelling expenses and refreshment allowances included. Oh aye and ye better spend a couple of quid on ear plugs to comply with health and Safety"
  11. I'm not sure who Samuel Bekett is. Anyone know if he sits in W7
  12. 100% the number of players pulling out of 50/50s was disgraceful. Willcock no way mourinio would accept that. McGinn what was that toe poke reverse Bally dance pish all about. That was shocking today. Guys put the effort in. Some trumped up out of work hasbeen in a blue suit 2sizes too wee with orangey brown hideous shoes and no dress sense worked from the back by an aledged dodgy dude just bent you over and rodgered you. Have you no self respect Come onto feck saints you better turn up next week Apologies I'm pished in Edinburgh between trains
  13. Okay. Haven't read or posted anything on here since about 2pm. I've been defending Stubbs on here since he was appointed BUT That was shit today. No one got pass marks. Kpekawa forget it. There isn't a player I can see in there. What was that substitution about in the 50th minute. Make it at half time stubbsy unless it was a time wasting tactic to stop us shipping 6. I hope to feck it wasn't. What was that between McGinn and Smith when he came on? Some sort of solidarity. jack's boys v Stubbs signings. Forget that pish you guys need to stick together. I've not missed a game this season and so far feck all has filled me with confidence. We're shite and we know we are. Get it sorted Stubbs and McGinn or we're going down. I'll be at tyncastle next week hope to see you guys there too. SMTID
  14. I'm just being selfish I'm only there 3 or 4 times a month.
  15. I get the no advantage for the away team bit and I applaud the extremist ideology but I question the fiscal logic as to make use of the tactic we need money to put a team able to make use of that advantage on the park. Tough one. Fan safety and moving women, children and season ticket holders is a less convincing argument but adds to the complexity of the issue the BOD have to face. If it was down to me, I'd build a pub nearer the ground.
  16. Yep hopefully we'll be charged up. Bomb up the park. Weed out their weaknesses and score bags of goals
  17. According to the BBC David Martindale Officially running Livi today. Holt taking a back seat.
  18. Oh well. That's stubbsy off the hook. If we get beat it's your fault. Welcome back. Well be fine.
  19. Stubbs will live or die by HIS decisions and they are HIS decisions to make. There was little or no fight in the team last week and keeping heads up is a big part of the captains job. it was only after Jones came on that order was restored. I'm not calling for McGinn's head. I'm just saying it wouldn't surprise me if he was rested. Thought he looked tired and not as mobile or vocal as usual last week
  20. Actually a few of us at the games have been discussing this as a possibility. It wouldn't be such a big surprise. He's not been at his best recently. Maybe he needs a wee rest to recoup his energy and drive. Top Man : Captain Fantastic
  21. OMG the treasured archives of B+W army lost for ever. The inane drivel in the spats between Oaky and the knickerwetters, Ricky and non season ticket holders, IOBS and non McCoist Lovers, Faraway and anyone who's been to a game, Elvis and everyone, etc, etc, etc have to be preserved for future generations. Some one contact the internet archive and make sure these moments in history are preserved for ever. This is a job for the wayback machine. Do they know the end is nigh. Then again that would mean Shull, lucy, slarti, drew, isma, HMB, CG, LB, ISMA and a host of others would be recorded in the annuls of history too. Maybe it would be better for future generations if we just let it die. Hopefully we won't die today. This is a biggy. Come on Stubbsy show us the way. Get yourself up there in the annuls of Saints history for a good reason. Just heading for the Train. See you all later. RIP BAWA
  22. Cheers guys. I wasn't aware Lewis Muir had been signed. No trace of him on the website squad and I don't get to see the reserves. Thanks guys. I still suspect our next signing may be a keeper though and not Miller or Shankland
  23. This is maybe a stupid question. I don't get to many, in fact any, reserve games but according to the website we only have 6 players in the reserves and none of them are Goal Keepers. With Rogers out for the unforeseeable does that mean Sammy has to play every week for the reserves too. They play Rangers on Monday. Maybe Danny Mullen could play in goals. There is a rumour on Facebook (provenance unknown) that Heaton had a training injury and will also be missing for some time. Anyone want to play for the wee Team
  24. I was reading all the Anti Stubbs posts plastered across most of the forum and wondered what happened to this thread. I eventually found it on page 4 of the general discussion pages. July 29 was the last time anyone thought to consider posting anything appreciative on it. "Maybe the "Stubby says" thread is where you all say nice things about our leader now. Maybe it's just more fun putting the boot in when he's down. To all those willing to give Stubbs a chance. 'I Salute you.' I think, in the times he is working and with the resources he has, he is trying hard to succeed in difficult conditions. Remember he stepped in to take a Job that others wouldn't touch, so give the guy some credit. I'm confident he believes he can succeed and wasn't just desperate for any old gig. To those with different opinions. Well that's up to you but hopefully on Saturday we'll all get behind him and give him some support. If we're lucky there will be 3000 plus there on Saturday with about 172 Livingston fans. All those who still lament for JR can reminisce about those halcyon days when he saw off the little teams with his "world Class" Championship winning squad which all went on to become the greatest players in the deepest figments of our imaginations but everyone knew in reality would never hack it with the big boys. It's all about 'Now' and 'Now' AS is at the helm. So lets get behind him and turn up this Saturday to show him and the team that the fans do care and should be rewarded with effort and performances every week. After beating Livingston and a few chants of 'AS B+W Army' maybe we might even get a couple of appreciative posts on here come 5pm on Saturday. I'll settle for a celebratory Pint. looking forward to Saturday's appreciative posts. See you all there. I hope.
