  1. Sorry Sweeper but unless I’m being massively whooshed here, after correcting LPM’s spelling of Shtum/Schtum, you then went on to spell both “You’re” and “embarrassment” incorrectly. 🤣
  2. But I read your post as asking ME if I’d accept £300k. Which I wouldn’t for reason already stated. That’s why I was confused by the question. If your asking whether I think the club would accept it I’ve no idea. But that was really the thrust of my post. Nothing the club could do would surprise me.
  3. In which particular year of primary school did you craft this rapier like banter. And you’ve clearly crafted it so well you like to use it as your stock comeback to every single derogatory remark made at you (of which there are many). You’re probably gutted you couldn’t shoehorn in the old mirror “gag” as well. What a monumental loser. 🤣
  4. Right......... I KNOW pre season friendlies are literally meaningless. I KNOW that players are still getting up to speed,,,, BUT, surely to f**k it is slightly worrying when a squad that comprises generally our “top boys” with a few unknowns chucked in, need a penalty kick to beat a Belfast pub team and are struggling to beat Stenhousef**kingmuir.
  5. I think you are massively underselling him by calling him a “decent keeper”. In my opinion, barring Alan MacGregor (who is an effin psychopath) he’s the best in the Premiership.
  6. Yes but a punt is a punt. Ayr’s back fired on them. Some you win, some you lose. Maybe our punt might not pay off either. The question is “is it worth it?”. The club have answered that question already by knocking back £200k. If qarabag come back with £500k, the club reassess at that point. If it was up to me, I wouldn’t take a penny less than the perceived value of another season in the premiership vs the Championship. Don’t know what that figure is but I suspect it’s more than £500k. If it’s more than a million then I wouldn’t sell him for any less than a million. If we ended up keeping him and the gambled paid off then great, if not then so be it. ETA that was meant to quote LPM
  7. But the point I referred to is completely moot. There are no circumstances under which the club would feel compelled to do that. By knocking back £200k the club aren’t taking a punt on getting a higher amount. They’re simply saying “get real or f**k off and we’ll keep our player”. Under what circumstances do you think the club would end up taking a worse offer near the end of the window?
  8. Your poll doesn’t offer my preferred option. Your option 1 would get my tick if it didn’t contain the bizarre nonsense at the beginning about potentially having to accept a lower offer near the end of the window. For clarity, unless any offer is sensible, we keep him till his contract run out.
  9. Careful Shull. You almost accidentally became gstretchuk there, your potty mouth alter ego.
  10. Wow! You like to hit the high spots don’t you Rickster. 🤣
  11. No I don’t blame the players Ricky. Not at all. I’m simply an auld duffer bemoaning the current situation.
  12. Agree with the first part of your post. Re the second part though, for some reason Hladky doesn’t strike me as that type of guy. I have absolutely no basis for saying that though. 🤣
  13. I know what you are both saying and yes, we’ve always been a selling club, but in the old days we enjoyed those better players for longer. Players back then were prepared to sign longer contracts because they didn’t have the power. Nowadays as soon as anyone shows the slightest bit of promise, they’re off either at the end or near the end of their inevitably short contract.
  14. Not having a go at all mate, but I do despair at how often people now have to use the term “good business”. Remember when it used to be about having the best possible team on the park?
  15. I liked his direct style and he definitely was capable of giving defenders a torrid time, but agree that he tended to undo most of his good work by being too greedy or making poor decisions. I wouldn’t be upset if we hung onto him. He offers something a bit different.
  16. He was the epitome of shiteness, not mediocrity.
  17. Well we got skelped 6-0 by a league one side last pre season.
  18. Yeah but which is closest to the truth? 🤣🤣
  19. In fairness FS, that post paints you in a very poor light. Like a sort of 12 year old light.
