I was never convinced by McLean. He was decent and nothing more. In all likelihood Morgan will go for a similar sum to McLean and I think he is a MUCH better player.

Is it just me who thinks he’s turned out to be not much cop? From what I can gather, not many Aberdeen fans will be shedding tears about his departure. To me a sell on clause is a protection for the sell g club against the player turning out to be brilliant and the club who bought him coining it in. If the player turns out to be not all that, then no one can complain about a sell on clause going up the pictures.

Understood but the point I am making is that up until now at the new ground we have been either a struggling Premiership team, or a struggling Championship team. So past records aren't really relevant. This is the first time since moving there that we are going through a successful period with increased interest and good football getting played. The capacity of SMP is significantly less than that of Love Street. I'm not saying you're wrong DJ, I'm just pointing out that if we are ever going to be in a position to fill an 8k capacity stadium, it should be now in a match against our local rivals who also carry a decent support. If it takes a title party to fill the stadium, I think that's a bit of a bad do.

So the second part of the question was why not? We're top of the league. It's our local derby. We'll be off the back of 3 wins on the bounce including another uplifting away victory. If we can't get a full house under those circumstances, when can we? I'm with you Shull. Blimey!!

If we beat Falkirk this Saturday, do folk think a sell out for this is achievable? And if not, why not?

Not sure about previous. I would doubt it though. He’s an easy guy to “hate” though and always has been. Saturday’s evidence would suggest he hasn’t mellowed with age. If anything he’s got worse.

In fairness, you weren’t there and I didn’t detail the content of my banter other than to specifically state that it never bordered on abusive, so I going to suggest you’re not best placed to comment. No animals were harmed in the course of my banter.

No it's not just that. You just have a habit trampling on other people's perceptions of fun and acceptability. I'll take your word for it that in real life you are a really fun guy, but you certainly don't come across that way going by a helluva lot of your contributions on here.

I was at the Wick Academy V Brora Rangers game on Saturday and I took the liberty of purposely positioning myself directly behind Ross Tokely's dug out in order to maximise....ahem....."banter" potential. I must add that my one way discourse with Mr. Tokely never bordered on abusive. However, it was satisfying relentless in nature and drew many titters from The Scorries faithful in the main stand (who I had made sure were aware of Tokely's "past crimes"). I was also sufficient distance from the Brora casuals to avoid getting my melt battered in. I have to say that he really is an utter cock of a man. Squealing like a baby about every decision that didn't go Brora's way, or throwing things around when one of his team cocked something up. He was like a spoilt child having a tantrum. This of course played perfectly into my hands and furnished me with a never ending supply of dokey to fire his way. Unfortunately his team edged out the Scorries by the odd goal in a 2-3 thriller. Anyway Buds. Consider him telt.
