  1. If you don't start your best bet for goals who is also your best option in the air against a team who have struggled to defend crosses and set pieces then you deserve to get your arse kicked and we are. Clueless Spineless Talentless squad nudging us closer to oblivion ( I'm sure it'll be none of their faults as they try to persuade Championship sides to pay them the same money next year )
  2. Absolutely unacceptable. 6 games in and our season is reduced to a relegation dogfight potentially 9pts off any playoff chance .....and for about the 14th consecutive year back as joint lowest goalscorers in the country
  3. Just bloody depressing, every time there's a glimpse of light and opportunity we get squads who take that feel good factor as a chance to slack off rather than an opportunity to advance themselves and the club. No heart, no stomach, no balls. Just can't be arsed! Every bloody time - sick of it. 2007 Dramatic relegation escape – What an opportunity 2009 Stadium Move debt free – What an opportunity 2010 League Cup Final v 9 man Rangers – What an opportunity 2013 Win League Cup – What an opportunity 2016 Fan buy out – What an opportunity
  4. Far too many players on comfortable wages with no hunger or desire to make any sort of challenge even at this pitiful level. Mix that with teams who are willing to put in that work and we've a decent team on paper but one with no heart no balls heading one way and probably in the bottom spot they deserve. Just noticed March 15th was my last post and we're actually looking worse since then....a home and away supporter who thought about match days more than I should to total disinterest that's what St Mirren have achieved in just under 3 years. Well done to all involved.
  5. I gather they've done the South Stand this afternoon.
  6. Surely we should be looking to make The Rangers special day at our ground even better by offering Mallan at a knock down price for them if they will fill 3 stands...we've done everything else.
  7. Smacks of sending out big friendly Sam Allardyce to give Sunderland's position on Adam Johnson when any decisions to have been made were the board's responsibility.
  8. I'm not convinced the leaving a man 5 yards behind the rest of the defence tactic employed during Raith goals 1 and 3 or the deploying four left backs idea during goal 2.
  9. One of the most exciting and scary nights at Love St...queues were so long we were 1 up as my Dad punted me over the turnstyle of the Main Stand. They place was going berserk as we legged it up stairs on the way in. The scenes during the McAdam sending off were some of the worst I've encountered (Rangers terracing invasion similar period was probably slightly worse as I was a very little lad on the terracing my Dad fearing for our safety even taking to the track to avoid the hail of beer cans, bottles and coins being hurled at us that day). As McAdam walked off a glass beer bottle went a few yards over our heads smashing against the wall of the little enclosure at the front of the main stand (heaven knows how it missed everyone with it so crowded) and an old bearded fellow, with horrible teeth as I recall, just stood there about a dozen rows behind screaming "You'll never beat ra sellik!" I don't think he was even lifted. Over on the far side I don't think to this day I've seen more beer cans and bottles come out of a crowd than were thrown at that linesman in the minutes after the red card...took an age to get started again. The commentary mentions it as it starts but they then follow McAdam as he walks off and cut to the next action. (was more the norm then I guess) There's no great memory tricks here either as a kid I used to diary trips to games and that's pretty much word for word what I've scribbled. I look back at stomach knotting incredible exciting nights like that and feel sorry for our young fans these days but on the other hand at least they are a whole lot safer.
  10. Harsh reality check tonight and players need to accept (and their agents especially when contract time comes up) that they are a collection of poor Championship level footballers. Some of them were lucky to get games at the top level but didn't use that platform They clearly weren't good enough then as we disappointed week in week out believing they were just getting bad luck every week.and they seem to be unable to compete even at this lower level. Even if they survive they need to be prepared to take large cuts to set their wages at a level more reflecting their talent or find themselves some other mugs to take them on. Sadly tonight's result was no surprise and played out as the comfortable Thistle win that the bookies priced it.
  11. I've got a feeling (wooohooo) that tonight's gonna be a good night. For strange reason I reckon we'll win tonight and at 5/1 I'm having a few quid on it too.
  12. C'Mon the Saints!!!! It's 25 past 10 in the mornin' and I'm far enough away to catch some of Stevie Thompson's shots today.
  13. Have had the great pleasure to spend a few hours with Jameis Winston this week I did ask if he'd be interested in buying a soccer team and that one month's cheque would probably cover it but he reckons it's a girl's game. Sorry guys, I tried lol.
  14. Instead of paying players £500-£1500 a week for performances and results below all bar Alloa Athletic, why not pay them what their talent is worthy of ....that might jolt a few into giving a shit. Bloody lucky they have contracts many of them. Just think ...knock that range down even a fraction for the standard their "work" to date shows they are, £400-£1200 for starters would free up about £2000 a week for several decent players.
  15. Exactly what many thought and said as much when they appointed Craig. If they had the ability to improve things you'd see it coming through on the pitch, if not then they've clearly not the balls to speak up against what they're seeing and influence the poor decisions being made. Paul Sturrock for me.
  16. Watching our board's complete incompetence with managers is becoming like watching that Joey Essex....you just sit their tearing your hair out thinking, "but he can't be that stupid he just can't be, people are paying them so....ohh my God what's he done/said now...hw can't be this stupid......." on and on and on.
  17. We've covered everything over the last few months and seen virtually no positives to the current management I think we've suffered enough.
