Goodwin crunched into a few great tackles today which was great to see but he still managed to needlessly give away the free-kick just outside the box which could have been very costly. I'm very grateful for what he's given us but it really is time for the clear out that's long overdue.

All Liverpool anthems played before the game at Newcastle today. Minutes applause before which developed into the stadium singing You'll never walk alone. Nice mark of respect, hopefully something similar tomorrow at SMP.

Shame I won't be there to see him off. Sad reflection of Scottish football, not being there had nothing to do with giving the south stand away to Sevco. I've simply chosen not to go to these games. I've not been in many years and I'm probably not alone. Their away fans are dreadful, some of the bile that comes from the stands is unbearable. In return, the atmosphere among the home fans is far from enjoyable, it's just not the football game experience I want to be part of and especially not for my son. Farewell Thommo and Goody, thanks for the good times. Once Cheesy's back from Iceland we'll hit the wee white ball about the field.
