  1. But Ajax fans can continue to fly the Israeli flag without sanction.
  2. The most frustrating aspect of today's game was our inability to hit the ball low and not over the bar. Ever since the season started how many free kicks have we had without any on target? Teale and Goodwin will have to start earning their way as coaches by getting the players to hit the ball correctly - basic stuff! MacLean disappointingly, the worst offender. I'm really pessimistic about the future as there appears no hint whatsoever, of any progression. As many on here have highlighted, the club have gone for the cheaper option and the age old problem of a center-half STILL remains an illusive ambition. We all were optimistic with the signings at the start of the season, and rightly and understandably so but it not working and action needs to be taken.
  3. Here we go here we go....the comparison between Danny and Tommy. Gus, you're rested!
  4. I don't know if this was raised previously but I found it quite amusing when Darling lost it a bit by saying to Salmond in Scots, 'Hawd on'. Note: not 'oan' but...'on'
  5. Don't worry...we'll get there. But, Kenny will have to improve his dead-ball efforts.
  6. Good backup should the floodlights go down. Wouldn't like to sit next to it for fear of blindness.
  7. We are not playing in the 70 or 80s era but in today's sanitised interpretation of the rule-book. Whether JC is innocent or not the end result is that he was sent off adding another to his tally. I'll leave it to Tommy Craig's wisdom.
  8. Really missed Thomo yesterday for his ariel threat. Cauldwell should start ahead of Ball on Wednesday. Top marks for Cheesy Tess and McGinn and Wylde giving 100%. I thought McLean had a better first half when he was ousing with confidence.
  9. We are beginning to complete the circle. Rather than the effect it's equally important to reflect on the cause otherwise we get nowhere when looking for a solution. The present Israeli blockade of Gaza has resulted in intolerable living conditions in which the people there eat just enough to survive. http://www.theguardian.com/world/2012/oct/17/israeli-military-calorie-limit-gaza When Israel abides by international law and ends the blockade Hamas has said the rockets will stop. Daily we hear the number of rockets being fired by Hamas. Do we ever hear the number of shells and missiles being fired by Israel? Certainly, we see the damage! No one wants to see suffering on either side but as I've said before, this is just a smokescreen for Israel's creeping annexation of the West Bank from where there are no rockets being fired but Palestinians are daily being thrown off their land and evicted from their homes to make way for Jewish settlers. This is the Zionist dream of Eretz Israel becoming a reality.
  10. Glasgow is twinned with Bethlehem in the West Bank and the Palestinian flag is being flown as a mark of sympathy and solidarity to those 1900 killed and 9000 injured by Israeli bombing.
  11. We all agree with your frustration and anger. The question is how do we stop it? As I said in my first post implement international law which makes the blockade illegal. Hamas have said the rockets would then stop.If we were living under the same miserable conditions don't you think that we would be more than capable of producing a Hamas of our own - or worse ?
  12. With excitement of all these new signings it seems its a downer having to include a goalkeeper in the squad. ;)
  13. I see you're back playing the race card again. The sad thing is you don't even know you're saying it. WHERE IS THE LINK? As before, IOBS you provide no dates, documents, events nor any kind of evidence except some anecdotal story of how your Israeli pal knows...who said...
  14. You assumed wrong i have been in the middle east. But what has that got to do with anything? i have never been to China but i'm pretty sure it exists. Can you provide a link for your air stewardess story?
  15. All I'm seeing in your contributions is islamophobia and superficially historically significant points.
  16. To perhaps shed light on the situation please view this interview on BBC's Hardtalk with the Israeli historian, Ilan Pappe shown a couple of weeks ago... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4lsmFS75ed4
  17. Your concern for human life is shared by many on here and rightly so. What is the solution? Why not start by abiding by International Law as I stated in my first post of which Israel is a signatory. Don't you think that if we in this country lived under similar conditions as the Palestinians do that we wouldn't produce organizations like Hamas?
  18. Butie, I see you've lost the argument by throwing personal insults. No one forced you into this thread.
  19. Nonsense. Arabs in Israel are discriminated against in all walks of life. Remember, Israel is a state for Jews. That's the Zionist reality and all others come second.
  20. OK, good! What do you advocate to achieve this honourable statement? Here's mine... For Israel to end its blockage of Gaza and to withdraw from the West Bank to the 1967 borders taking with them all the Jewish settlers who illegally took over Palestinian land. The 5 million Palestinian refugees to be compensated for their loss of land, homes and businesses which exist in present day Israel. For the Palestinians to end all military operations against Israel. Howzat? Agreed?
