  1. We didn’t need to be in this position Ricky. It’s 2014 re visited. Unhappy changing room spells disaster and we need to face it our signings have been poor, we are easily got at in games particularly from set plays and physical players . We also have basically no forward players capable of scoring the goals to keep us afloat. I thought the last 18 months was a reward for all the toil under Craig, Murray and Rae it was incredible. Now we face that all over again. I didn’t expect to be cruising it I just thought we might be able to finish the season having won a few games and as a premier league team. There is no point if you can’t stay in the top league.
  2. Why do you spend ur whole life on here if it doesn’t matter. I think if you are a st Mirren supporter you care about being relegated. I will say no more because to do so would only give you oxygen
  3. This is a bad joke. I am sorry but we’re going down
  4. I’m sickened by this . I am shocked and saddened at the turmoil going on At our club. Surely to god the chairman isn’t sitting there just allowing this car crash to take place
  5. This window has been a disaster for us. We had to add experience and goals we have done neither. This team is going to struggle badly and will be lucky to stay up. We will be lucky still to be in contention with this squad. It’s a shame as with the correct manager and some schrewd recruitment it was there for us to push on. The recruitment has been absolutely terrible . It feels so helpless and v much like Tommy Craig all over again
  6. I’ve seen this movie before and it doesn’t end well. Desperation has set in and we are all over the place on the park and in the transfer market. What looked like a league were we could establish ourselves is turning into a horror show. We could quite easily score no points in the next six
  7. Who cares anymore . We have assembled a collection of loan players and no our hap hazard signing policy is coming back to haunt us. The team lacks experience and organisation in every area. Just over a day to go and the squad is in poor shape
  8. Sorry didn’t realise. Please merge
  9. I have no problem with two or three loans complimenting our side but potentially we are going to have far too many who have no real feeling for our club. They are here to learn or get game time and this is a recipe for disaster. The emotional attachment we have with this club can’t be strengthened by supporting a team of loan players you don’t even own.
  10. I’d imagine Kenny Miller is more likely to score the goals that keep Dundee up than any of our strikers who appear to be of a poor standard. It’s very strange that he would rather travel three hours per day to Dundee than sign for us. He wants nothing to do with us and this is a worry . Nobody of any standing will come near us.
  11. It’s actually very sad to see us in this state so early in the season. The boards can’t sack anyone so let’s forget this. Stubbs is the manager but his recruitment has been all over the place. There seems to be no set policy and it’s resulted in guys signing who are way off the standard required. I worry when the manager sits all game and doesn’t get on the touchline ? What I think is most disappointing is that we had it all there for us. Add in some proven spl standard players and we would be competitive. We haven’t we have ripped up the team and with it the team spirit i has been diminished. The latest suggestion of smith leaving is absolutely astonishing and if true it must have board members wondering what is going on. With the chance of winning any points in the next two games unlikely we will have more negative press and never have I seen a crowd want the manager out when the season is only three weeks old. He shouldn’t go he should be able to build a team but it has to happen quick and we need to at least be competitive. Yesterday the team looked flat they look like they aren’t playing for the boss and this usually leads to relegation and a managerial change
  12. So how do you know we can’t get him, or that shankland isn’t coming
  13. Shankland would come back if we offered enough. Seems we’re content to be 10th after all . Always thought he silly top six chat was just that
  14. Just wondering how you know these things
  15. Can I ask how jj seems to know so much ? Who is going to buy shankland? Is Stubbs actually getting any additional cash cos it doesn’t look like it. Makes all the panicking over the McGinn money seem utterly pointless now. Glad we got the cash and well done to the old board. Sad that the other lads all left for a pittance tho considering their talent.
  16. Fantastic result. Sure we rode our luck at times but the team dug in and got the win. Mullen was excellent and if a target man style striker can be found I think Mullen and smith would relish playing off him. Good start now let’s hope the McGinn deal goes thro and we can get some players in
  17. I can see a struggle to score tomorrow and a 0-1 loss. I hope it’s wrong but the team lacks pace and we have no strikers . I genuinely hope I’m wrong
  18. Before the season kicks off its v clear the recruitment needs to be stepped up . We will not survive if we don’t bolster this squad with proven spl players. The bottom line is that gone is the top six patter of spring why? Because that cost cash and we seem to be really struggling if there’s only room for two more? Yes after selling Morgan , our management and having great season ticket sales compared to before we let 20 go and now we have room for two? How?
  19. The squad at present will be pumped most weeks . No goals in it and no pace which is crucial . I know the gaffer wants new blood let’s hope he gets them and soon. Remembering we lost 20 players So I can’t believe you will go into a higher league and not add depth ? To be honest the team at present is weaker than last seasons. The chat about top six is gone S the board realise the big boys are all far stronger than they were three years ago when we went down. They have invested and so have other clubs who will be bottom six. It’s worrying though if all we have is two extra guys to come in. Can you imagine this team at Ibrox in ten days? It will be awful . Ross Stewart , Kirkpatrick, Macpherson , King and Cooke are part of the squad as is mcshane who is good on the ball but lacks pace . Simply as it stands we are going to struggle big time
  20. The lack of a striker and pace in wide areas is a real problem. The comment that we only have space for two more is baffling as we have let a lot of players go whilst also receiving compensation for jack , selling our most season tickets in many a day, have good sponsors in place and will have better crowds and tv cash. If the best we can do is Jeff king , Cody Cooke and the like then it’s going to be one awfully long season. The heady days of May when we were spouting in the media about being a top six team has vanished to be replaced with nothing of he sort. Alan Stubbs is right we need reinforcements and we need several as let’s be brutally honest here we are in a three team league with the current squad and Livingston have a striker in Miller who will possibly be the difference between winning 1-0 or losing. Smith and Mullen up front is relegation . Smith is a cracking player but he is not a 14 goal. Season out and out striker. Mullen is a good footballer but he is never. Striker . We also might add John McGinn cash but even without that we have to be able to bulk up the squad by a right few if we are to stand any chance of being competitive
  21. Do you not think we could have done a wee bit better out of these guys?
  22. What amazes me is that we have had McLean, Mcginn, Mallan, Morgan and McAllister and yet have received under 1 m for the lot. Piss poor to be fair. Yes give me the contract stats of hey wouldn’t sign again etc etc but other clubs have banked Millions whilst we have basically produced some excellent talent for very little financial reward
  23. And if he is our striker then we will go down . Amazing this game three months ago riding the crest of a wave then the boss goes the new guy comes in and hasn’t managed to get players in and with just two weeks till the kick off we are all over the place without a settled side and any real idea of who plays where etc. Can you imagine Ibrox on Matchday 2 with our current lot? It will be horrible
