Gas power stations are considerably cheaper so long as you have your own gas. Hence the reason the US has managed to substantially reduce the cost of electricity to their users since they started extracting shail gas. Coal is also substantially cheaper if you have access to your own coal as we do.

As for shale gas, the British Geological Survey has released estimates of gas supplies that are in a tiny portion of the Bowland shale basin in Lancashire. They estimate around 40 years worth of gas in that small portion of the shale (at present gas useage). They actually estimate that the entire Bowland shale basin contains enough natural gas to last us 1000 (one thousand) years at present useage. Self sufficiency in gas. No more reliance on Russia, who are already taking the piss with their prices, and a drop in the cost of fuel will help the poor. Instead of hammering the poor with expensive energy costs so that they can help subsidise the windmill industry that doesn't and never will, work.
Thats the reason why Germany has been quietly ditching its windmill programme and has been building an unprecedented number of coal fired power stations. Burning the utterly filthy lignite as well! They are already worrying about power outages in harsh winters and they dont want it to happen to them.

Stupid and potentially damaging allegations in this currently overly PC climate from a clearly troubled young man. Not surprising to see the BBC push this agenda, 5Live had a whole hours worth of chat about the gaiety and some now retired footballer who had "come out" and how the whole football world is full of closet homosexuals who are too afraid to own up to their sexual preference because football is too macho and lad like. Maybe a change of scenery will bring the best out of him, but we definitely didn't see it. When it takes a player the first six months of his contract to lose a couple of stones in weight, you have to wonder what the f**k is going on with the player.
We would have missed the Carey we had on loan ages ago. But not the one we just released, he just didn't do enough for us. No harm to the guy, but I really hate seeing talented people wasting their talent, which is what he was doing with us. He had two years to take his pinkie out his anus and look like an integral part of our side and he didn't do it.

Oh and the girl at Sky that I spoke to seemed pretty clued up. She said that a major part of the competition to Sky actually comes from the commercial market. She said that in the past a pub would need to pay Sky a fee to be allowed to show ESPN or Setenta matches in the pub. However with BT they can bypass Sky altogether and show BT Sports games in the pub at far cheaper rates.
As usual competition will be a good thing for all consumers.

The whole set up of sport in general is a lot more structured in the likes of Sweden. There is a place for folk to participate even if they are f**king pish at whatever they are doing. The football clubs are more like community sports hubs with lots of different things going on, maw paw and the weans can pitch up and all f**k off and do whatever they want to do.
I think there is a real lack of quality coaching for football and alhough its still not fantastic I think in recent times there has been a bit more of an effort, but its still not good enough.
I played cricket to a decent level and as a kid the coaching was absolutely brilliant. I was taught every single aspect of the game, and once it was decided that I wasn't too bad, I was taken away and coached fairly intensively to hone whatever skills were there.
I also played football. Coaching consisted of running around the track, doing a bit of circuit work and then playing bounce games. Was never taught how to header. Never taught how to tackle, pass, trap a ball, was never taught the tactical side of things or the finer points of the game. Was basically flung a ball and told to play some football.

He will be getting appropriate strenght training once his body stops growing. You can do a whole lot of damage to a kid by builking them up too soon.
Stephen McGinn was a bit lightweight as well, but in his final bit of season wioth us you could see he was being given a weights programme. That McCarthy kid at Hamilton Accies was a skinny wee lad as well but is turning into a beast. Some 16 year olds are pretty much fully grown men, and some aren't until they leave their teens even. He has plenty of skill by the look of him but in terms of physique he is going to lag behind the likes of John McGinn, but it cant be helped.

I don't see how it's a problem really. I don't care a hoot about anyones sexuality, football player or otherwise. Why should gay players tell people they are gay? It's no ones business except their own, if they want to keep it to themselves fine, if they want to tell people fine. Them deciding not to tell people should not be seen as a problem.

I think John McGinn was fantastic last night and never looked out of his depth against a very talented midfield. Alan Pardew applauding him off the field also says a lot.
