  1. Who gives a toss about first division Hibs.
  2. Alas, SDM at oldco was prob as much a crook as Whyte was. I'm surprised the oldco administrator did not try to have the sale / transfer to whyte reduced as it seems obvious now that SDM was only really trying to save his own skin but I digress.
  3. If the BoD decide the Argentinian guys are the ones to take the club forward, you've really got to show some trust they are making the correct decision. They'll do their due diligence and I suspect the SFA, or whatever they are known as now, will want to ensure they pass the fit n proper person test. What and how many checks you can actually do on a group of Argentinians, I'm not sure though.
  4. I seem to recall a Barry McLaughlin overhead kick away to Aberdeen, possibly early league cup game, from an angle in the area about 16 yards out.
  5. How's about Fergus McCann, he was a fairly successful overseas investor. Brother Walfrid, make way for baldy McCann.
  6. To say there's a lot of bluster on here would be an underestimate. We've had a fair time to get things together re a fans buy out but wee shat wur pants wen faced with it, now somebody shows interest and its let's circle the wagons time , lets buy the club ourselves! If SMISA want to be the saviour, they need to man up and say what their intentions are, then people can decide if they truly want fan ownership.
  7. I think you'll find that Archi did in fact unearth a few good players.
  8. "vulnerable to some foreign buyers coming in", bloody hell we're not Man U, the words "beggars" and "choosers" come to mind more like. There is a limited time that the selling consortium will continue to say that they'll only sell to the right people before they need to sell to get some sort of return, whether that be immediate or over a number of years from a body like SMISA. SMISA are probably going about things the right way but they probably need someone with some commercial business savvy (a lawyer and / or accountant) to head things up and keep a hold of things, if they were ever to go down that route, that is. Not cheap.
  9. Get Victor appointed, bound to have plenty spanish contacts.
  10. That's a fair point. I suppose it will depend on how Teal gets on in the intervenning period.
  11. The SPLF are obviously trying to get an unfair preference, I would have thought the liquidator might have something to say about that to either Sevco or / and the SPFL.
  12. Gawd, there's a lot of drivel on here. Who really gives a toss about Hibs and the rest of the guff on this topic.
  13. In my humble opinion, I suspect it may be Teale - cheaper option and has, hopefully, contacts down south.
  14. To be honest, I was half expecting CW's court appearance to finish along the same lines as the Lee Harvey Oswald / Jack Ruby encounter.
  15. This thread could probably be closed now and probably a few others as its crystal clear tc is gawn nowhere, the directors have no desire (and probably money) to ask tc to leave. Players need to leave in January, I would prefer it was someone / players we could get some money from but that is highly unlikely.
  16. Drive you to bloody drink. The words lunatic and asylum come to mind.
  17. No way Davina would entertain Paisley. El tel def.
  18. Ashley probably has de facto control of sevco because without him, they are shafted, so they'll dance to whatever tune he plays. He has his man in at the top and all that without buying the extra shares to control the club, spfl should want to know more about this but theyve too much too lose if sevco go belly up again and are happy for them to again live way outside their means.
  19. Surely Sevco must be on the brink with all this money they are borrowing from Ashley, is that financial fair play for the division they are in? I would not be surprised if he pulls the rug from under their feet and then takes over the himself.
  20. Douglas Street is only the vehicle to sell the controlling interest, nothing more, as opposed to having a buyer negotiate separately with the individuals owning the 52% share holding.
  21. We've seen the huge success Sevco made of their share issues so why would the directors offer shares for a peanuts investment of cash which will take the club nowhere.
  22. And the utter drivel continues.
  23. Someone should batter an email over to [email protected], bound to be a better long term investment (and cheaper) than buying Spurs.
  24. Proof of funds is only ever going to be a snapshot at a given time, I could write a cheque to myself for £50m and pay it in to the bank and the bank statement would show £50m in my account (until it bounced of course), goes for nothing. A wee bit more due diligence would be required one thinks rather than relying on a letter saying someone has the necessary readies to buy the shares to your club. You only really need to look at Craig Whyte and where his proof of funds got Oldco.
