  1. I get the impression it's more a performance arts type venue with film screening facilities included than your average Odeon type arrangement. Certainly the noises coming out of the Paisley Developmenr folks would suggest so... Good idea tbough
  2. Sound/Video delays are usually down to connection speeds.
  3. Knew David and his sister via Arts Centre/PACE years ago. This reads a lot like scape-goatism to me as opposed to anything dodgy being done with the kitty. Never heard anyone say a bad word about the guy since he started 'Paisley Arts Centre Entertainments' some nearly 30 years ago.
  4. Only seen this the odd time, and for a small operation they do pretty well. Some of the camera work is decent, some is patchy. No more than I'd expect from folk learning their trade or even just dabbling in it. As for commentary, well just like on real telly, you can always turn it down. If nothing else it shows you why the pro's are pro.
  5. Surely the tunnel just needs a big sign saying "If ye hate the feckin Morton, clap yer hands !" ?
  6. Same auld shite as usual then.... !

I fully understand the "reality of the situation". As long you understand my disapproval of yet another flatpack construction that looks like it was designed on Microsoft Paint for Windows '95. They could have just demolished the school and left a vacant space which would still have been better than this shite.
  8. So she's 'in bed' with the SNP now and feels it's time to pass he baton ? Mmmmm maaatron !!!
  9. Paddy O' Brian's Dream or similar ? Think I saw them in there too. They were never out of STV studios at Cowcaddens back then either...
  10. Smells Like Troon Harbour, another classic !
  11. See him at Glasgow Green every year at the World Pipe Bands where he works with the backstage house crew.
  12. I asked myself that very question today at 1650 approx !

I'd sooner see it demolished and the site made into a public area or something, rarther than the 21st century eyesore going up in it's place at 400% profit.

Love the opening blurbs in that statement which loosely translated says "We specialise in cheap flat pack identical building projects that are as inspirational as Syphillis and really couldn't give a good f*ck about local history or architecture, as this get rich quick scheme will line our pockets in jig time, If you have any other historic buidings in town requiring demolition or conservation projects from the 1880's that require upgrading to the 1980's, please call our specialists who will be happy to assist..."

Finally got that beer garden it was sadly missing ! And in other news, the old Cotton Club, aka the Ferguslie Mills Half Timers School ruin looks set to be demolished in October for a new build flats development.
  16. For a ground to generate an 'atmosphere' it's usually required to have the odd full house, inspirational football days and nights, plus a good few years to allow the thick velour of sentiment to build up in the hearts and minds of the punters. I fully expect this to apply at Greenhill Road in the fullness of time. Perhaps an open top bus parade at the end of this season will help to cement that feeling ? ;-)
  17. For me though his best work come straight off his finger tips...RIP Mr Campbell. https://youtu.be/8fqN4zgqf78
  18. His version of 'God only knows' off the Southern Nights album would make ye greet. He brings a real passion and soul to the lyric that reduces Brian Wilson's rendition to karaoke bar like performance.
  19. Smashing tribute from his long time musical collaborator, Jimmy Webb, who features in the often repeated on BBC-4 Royal Festival Hall performance with the London Philharmonic Orchestra in 1977. It's on i-player just now in fact... https://www.jimmywebb.com/
  20. Some folk reported seeing the body lying on the carriageway under a blanket as well. Bloody dangerous these quad bikes, as Rik Mayall found out to his cost as well.
  21. Little or no influence as that would be seen as manipluation of the situation. I'd assume it's up to the girl, her parents or even her agent to present her in appropriate attire. Looks like sheer bravado to me and as others have suggested, there could be more to the story than meets the eye, I'll assume a "Read about my ordeal" feature in The Sun with salacious pictures before the end of the week.
