  1. Mentioned on P&B that we're trying to get John Baird to rip up his pre-contract agreement with Dundee.
  2. He's also been training with us. Unless of course DL is lying.
  3. An article from the 23rd of March and not a direct quote from our manager.
  4. I'm sure DL was quoted in the PDE a couple of weeks ago saying that he's been training with us at some point. Here it is.From April 5th. Another player Lennon unleashed against Hibs was striker Lewis Guy. The former Oldham and MK Dons striker has signed a pre-contract with St Mirren and will officially join the Paisley club this summer. Lennon said: “We’ve had Lewis with us off and on since January. “He’s the type of lad who plays on the shoulder of the last defender. If we can get balls into the box, then I believe Lewis is the type of guy who will get on the end of them. “I feel our style of play will suit him well.” And from April 19th. Meanwhile, the St Mirren boss has also revealed that new signing Lewis Guy is already enjoying life with his Paisley team-mates ... even though he can’t play any competitive action for the Buddies until next season. The former Newcastle United, Doncaster Rovers and MK Dons striker has signed a pre-contract agreement with Saints and will continue to train with Lennon’s squad for the rest of the current campaign. Lennon has also pitched the 26-year-old hitman into action during some behind-closed-doors bounce games to help him get up to speed with the Scottish game.
  5. It's Lewis Guy who has already signed a PCA with us and, as LS correctly states,is already training with us.
  6. Forgot about him. He could be a decent option.
  7. Apparently, according to the manager in the PDE, were going to open talks with a Scottish based striker who is out of contract at the end of the season. Any thoughts as to which player this could be? Don't think Kris Doolan is out of contract.
  8. Have heard that McShane is unlikely to be kept on and that Hamilton are keen to kep him.McShane seems to be enjoying his game time there and Hamilton sem happy with his contribution. Heard from the same source that we're after two strikers. I presume from previous posts that one of them could well be Kris Doolan.

    Petrol

Was at Lonend Morrisons for the weekend supplies this afternoon and their Petrol station, although fully operational, was no busier than usual.
  10. You can judge them based on your homoerotic fantasies if you wish. I prefer the testimony of players who have played with him and our management team.
  11. It's great that some people seem to be be pre-judging a player on the basis of his Wikipedia history and are "experts" on the level of football displayed in the lower leagues in England. Seems that the players already at the club and the management are fairly impressed by him. I think I know which provenance I'd be going with. As Billy says,Higdon didn't exactly knock them in for fun down south. Some diddy already wrote off Beattie on the basis of his record down south. He looked a fairly decent player to me on Saturday.
  12. I too rarely watch any films, but like you the last film I watched was Inbetweeners, which my mate gave me his copy of. It was supberbly childish and crude, and made me laugh. P.S.There hasn't been a film in the past ten years that has made me want to go and see it on the big screen. Cinemas are generally full of clowns that can't control their offspring and/or noisy, greedy cunts that feel the need to stuff their fat faces with overpriced, cholestrol or sugar laden food products.
  13. They must have been on the wind up. I know one of the guys who was on their committee and in the late 80's and early 90's our football team regularly used the masonic for our fund raising race nights and quiz nights. Spent many an evening in there on general bevvying and was never once asked to offer to buy drinks for others. Our bus for the '87 cup final left from there.
  14. I'm not sure whether it this that's rendered the facility out of use for SMISA, but I remembered that I had read that there had been a fire at the Kibble.
  15. Or maybe they're still recovering from this? http://www.paisleydailyexpress.co.uk/renfrewshire-news/2011/08/25/hunt-for-firebugs-after-blaze-87085-29295886/
  16. Any individual who described the situation as you just did would be classed as a laughing stock. It was an unacceptable situation, which the club appears to have acted upon, but to describe it as such is the action of a complete fúckwit.
  17. It's a chanty wrastler FFS. http://www.lexiconplanet.com/patter47_eng.html
  18. Another one? I reckon that's the fourth (in two years) since my old man retired after 30 years with the club. They don't make them like they used to.............................................
  19. Can't you read the posts that mention why the deal is taking as long as it is?
  20. I see the obese one has employed his usual tactic of ignoring posts when he's proved wrong.
  21. TBH you'd only stop that happening if you got the pope and the queen to invest in the CiC. As a community club we're more likely to attract the likes of the "floating fan" who quite likes football but doesn't realy "support" a team, or people with little current interest in football, but like the idea of following a club who is associated with an organisation which provides true benefits for the Paisley community. Although, increased communtity involvement in local schools might sway some kids to follow St.Mirren,as opposed to the bigot brothers.I think I'm being overly optimistic with that thought though.
