  1. yes, as far as I can TC has not covered himself in glory or excelled at all in all this. IF Danny goes Tommy must go too.
  2. one thing is for sure, if we are looking for a new manager in the next few weeks, EVERY SINGLE proposed candidate will be mocked and derided...hands thrown up in dramatic horror and dismissed as being a prick/wanker/too old/too young/***/tim on this forum.
  3. 1979/80, one of our best seasons ever, highest league finish I think, had a similar poor start. Other seasons (recent) with flying starts have fallen away to almost disaster. We can turn it around. It is hard to see where it will come from this time mind you.
  4. what is Tommy Craig doing in all this? I remember him playing for Aberdeen, Newcastle and Scotland in the early 70s. He has 40 years of experience at the top level. It looks to me he has contributed very little and has used not that experience and accumulated wisdom to advise and guide Danny....which is surely whyhe was appointed.
  5. at least Hearts got beat and we can hope for Motherwell to thump Kilmarnock. It doesn't mean the season is a dead loss or Danny is finished. But For fuxake this is truly awful.
  6. there is plenty of time for an equaliser but we know it is not going to happen......is it?
  7. oh my f**king god......unbelievable, but not really.
  8. I thought the tide had turned when Tommo scored against QoS ...but now I KNOW it has.....keep it tight for 10 and then press for a second!
  9. I do hope he is a bit better than that Lex!
  10. good on yi Dave.J .....spot on. Exactly the way it should be.
  11. a good, strong, win on Saturday and all will look much better.....carry on, as you were...... Another crushing, demoralising, defeat and things are much different.
  12. in the KB with James Robertson and Elaine and Annie Blacstock and JamieGou..........but FFS, this is awful :-(
  13. Oh well, f**k all that. Did get some bevvy in pubs and at the festival but.....FFS
  14. I'm away to the Mull of Kintyre Music Festival....float parade, and other festivities....mega bevvy if I play my cards right! when I come back we better have won and Carey certainly better not have done us damage.
  15. glad Newton resigned and didn't pursue his acting career........anybody else see him on Law and Order UK last Sunday? !
  16. it's going to be Novo and Kyle.....innit?
  17. wait a minute, and maybe this has been discussed to death elsewhere, but were Celtic given two home games to start the season just so they could cancel the second one for their money spinning friendly?
  18. Johnny Rocks, Argyll FM rock DJ extraordinaire!
  19. who is the wee rat at Hibs youz are speakin' aboot?
  20. must be about this date, in 200? the cooncil granted the permission to turn Love St in to a supermarket....sparking the move to Greenhill Road and our future financial security. And also the recent League Cup win. It is all in my diary but cant quite remember which year. I used to have perfect memory for these things....fading a bit noo! Going to do the same job on the farm today I was doing when I kept nipping in here to see what was happening. I do recall realising how hugely significant a day it was for St Mirren. Where would we be if they had said NO?
  21. if Webster had not brought down Carey in the last seconds of the League Cup Fnal Carey would have carried on and squared to Parkin to make it 4-2. Then he would have been a hero legend.
  22. I dont see how we can replace Carey with a better player on the money we will be able to pay. For all the reasons listed by Div, and others, above I would most certainly have kept Carey. Disappointed indeed. And if he is going, my goodness, it is going to be carnage.
  23. was that the John Hewitt last minute free kick at the Love St End winner game?
