I think we say that every season David , and never for good reasons !

Having unwanted or estranged players within a club is not the way we should be going. Having these players train and mingle with other staff is a constant reminder to them that things are not going well. If he's not going to be part of things then Mair should have been loaned out or disposed of. On the other hand , if he appears back in the first-team it reveals yet another weakness in Danny's strategy !

It's only fair to thank him for his efforts and a few great memories , although they're far outweighed by the number of soulless defeats we've suffered under him. Ricky Gillies wrote a good wee piece in the PDE yesterday saying that he's amazed that Danny has not made a central defender his priority and that the signs were there pre-season that we were going to struggle. Sounds like Ricky is a fellow knickerwetter , or maybe , like me , he wants the club to succeed but just can't see it happening in the current circumstances !

I look at some our central defence and midfield performances yesterday and can't find any cause for optimism. I thought Newton(in particular))and McGinn were overrun and Harkins was ineffective , while Goodwin was getting pulled all over the place showing why he's really not a central defender and should be the sitting midfielder. Worrying times , unless the management wake up to the glaring problems and bring in a couple of out-of-contract players !

We've got one point less than I thought we would have ! :-(

Danny cut a lonely figure standing on that touchline during the last ten minutes . I do think it's all over for him , that was horrendous today , although if we had held on he would at least have bought himself some time . Sad to see !

There won't be a change , all the clueless wee boys will always vote to keep Danny because of that damn cup !

By all accounts he was getting his chance v Killie and "froze in the headlights" ! Which spelt the end for him with the club !

Hopefully we have another deal lined up which is dependant on this going through ?

Tomorrow is a big day for Danny and the club , really hope we turn things around and give Thistle a spanking. Trouble is , I just can't see it , I think they will expose our fragility at the back , they've certainly looked good going forward this season ! COYS.

What are you blithering about now FFS ? Gus continuing would have cost us our place in the SPL , that's why we bagged him and paid up his contract , a fate that can only be weeks , if not days, away for Danny as we plummet towards Rangers !

That's correct John , because I could put the promotion in 2006 to one side and see were going nowhere by 2009 , there's no room for sentiment if it's clear that the manager's struggling and the future of the club as an SPL club is at risk !

It's not just a dig at that numpty , the facts are there , his own signings , by and large , have been awful !

As you know , as mentioned by myself and others at the time , the signs have been there for months but were clouded (and still are in some cases) by the League Cup win. People need to set that aside now before it's too late , and take a good hard look at the state of our club and our dumpling of a manager !

Absolutely ! One must spread the word ! ETA it also seems that Danny didn't rate them either , after he's signed them that is !

Someone else has made/recommended a promising signing and another one of Danny's deadwood has been binned to make way !

Wonder who the brains behind this signing is , certainly not Danny , he wouldn't know a player if one walked up to him and booted him in the fanny !
