  1. As you'll have seen, people still moan about decisions with VAR, but it should mean less of the costly mistakes during games.
  2. Our fans seem to love moaning. When you're paying minimal amounts to the club for things such as this and Buddievision, it's another small way of putting money into the club, of giving support. I just don't understand people who whinge and moan about trivial stuff like this.
  3. The point of this is to give students experience in broadcasting, while giving Saints fans a chance to follow the team from afar. Any money made will go into the club, after repaying the initial outlay for the equipment etc which was made by the Uni I believe. Some just love the opportunity to moan...
  4. Agreed - put the feelings of being hard done by to one side and keep striving to get that first point/win on the table under OK. We must start competing as well away from home as we have done at home, despite the lack of anything concrete to take from it as yet.
  5. This could have been taken from the same point in Jack Ross' reign - do you never learn? Regarding the starting lineup, it's no coincidence that you spectacularly miss the point. It's the squad as a whole which is the problem - Kearney is picking from a poor squad left by Stubbs, supplemented by his own (OK's) free agent signings which have an been positive so far. Yep - you are clueless, and your post here is like a shining example of your level of posting. I look forward to "Oran Must Go..."...
  6. He really is the most clueless poster on here - which is no mean feat.
  7. All of me wants them to come good - what possible reason could there be for not wanting that?
  8. We have kids on the bench because so many of Stubbs' signings are seen by Kearney as not good enough. Brock-Madsen is a case in point - we've had Sam Jamieson on the bench despite NBM being available, and Cody Come also unable to make the bench. And that's with Mullen injured! Honestly, only an idiot would fail to see the size of our squad which has been pointed out on numerous occasions recently for the hard of thinking such as yourself.
  9. Who gives a shit what he does elsewhere? Let it go...
  10. It's certainly a plan to rival any other for the crown of 'Worst Plan Of All Time'.
  11. I'd much rather have a lucky manager than most of the rubbish we've had since. Lennon was, and probably always will be, underappreciated for what he did with us. Give us 8th place finishes and most of us would be quite content, with the odd cup run thrown in. To win a national trophy was an outstanding achievement, one which most managers will never get close to at a club like ours.
  12. When Lennon left we had no idea who would come in. My feeling at the time was that there was no point letting Lennon go without a better man to come in. Fans were obsessed with this notion that we should've been a top 6 team - the League Cup win papered over the cracks apparently. The cracks became gaping chasms when Lennon was replaced with dud after dud until Jack came in to arrest the decline. Managers will have a far better chance of achieving things if given time and patience by a club and its fans. As we've seen, chopping and changing is a recipe for disaster. Let's hope we stick with our current manager long enough for him to build a team we can be proud of again.
  13. Was hoping we would keep Jones. Coulson and Okeefe but if your not training with the first team it's time to move on. Jones and coulson in my opinion played in the wrong positions and we haven't even seen Okeefe yet O'Keefe? The academy boy? We've seen plenty of him...
  14. The second half display on Saturday gives me reason for optimism. Another defeat is nothing to be happy about, but the manner of our play in that second half was good to see. Jackson looks like he could get goals for us once he's totally up to speed, while young Jamieson gave us something we've lacked for a long time - a physical guy up front, willing to get in about the opposition defence and noise them up. I'm hopeful with the level of trialists we are looking at in the last few weeks that we can get another player or two in who can help us going forward, as lack of goals is our biggest problem at the moment. More than anything I think the manager realises the importance of the support, as shown by his insistence on applauding all sides of our support after Saturday, and the applause the team got in defeat suggest a fanbase who are willing to give the new man our support. Things might not be as bad as they currently appear. I can see us avoiding the drop and suprising a few teams this season.
  15. Something called respect, which is mutual in Mallan's case.
  16. Was more a general comment. Every player got a clean slate from me when Kearney took over, including those who were so good last season and poor this season. Eventually poor performance will lead to losing places in the team.
  17. The longer Stubbs is away, the less he can be blamed for performances. The manager will get as much time as he needs from me. The players may find they don't get quite as long if they don't perform for him.
  18. Agreed on McGinn - the whole team has been poor all season Nd he is no exception. Possible opportunity for a few guys to stake a claim for a place.
  19. I don't know anything about the player, what shape he is in, any injuries he has had which may have slowed him down or hampered his mobility, or indeed any external issues which may affect him, but I'd sign him anyway...
  20. Kirkpatrick played well against Killie in the first game of the season, before picking up an injury.
  21. PDE online content is now done through the Record website - there is no PDE website anymore.
  22. It was his character that was called into question - he had every right to respond puclicly.
  23. Eckersley was named by Sutton on live TV as he was saying the dressing room was full of snakes - he has every right to reply to him and make his point. The rest I agree with.
