  1. Preferred your home top and away kit, but prefer the actual third kit. Not a fan of black shorts in our home kit - never have been. Got to be white for me. It's obvious they based all three kit designs on yours, which are all really good designs.
  2. Favourite? I have a few. The pinstripe pearler from the 87 cup win, the Cetco sponsored one from 2000 and the League Cup winning one from last season. I'd go for last season's as the top one - loved it. Least favourite? Again there are a few in contention. The 96/97 white effort with the thin black stripes was one I didn't care for, the pale blue away effort from 07/08, but the clear winner for me, and a strip which I had, and which I squeezed my 14 year old self into, was the absolutely dreadful, disgusting, horrendous debacle which was the bib. Need I say more?
  3. I'll be at the match, primarily to see the Saints, having gone a couple of months without a game and eager to see our new signings for the first time. The chance to see a few Newcastle starlets is appealing also. You know - to see who we're going to pick next to join us on loan?
  4. Not another who can't spot sarcasm. Almost forgot...lol
  5. An opportunity got Newcastle U21s to showcase their talents to try to earn a loan move to the super Saints?
  6. Douglas McNeil on Twitter (BBC Sport producer) says no truth in the rumours that we're interested.
  7. Agreed. A 34 year old keeper often has the best years of his career ahead of him.
  8. Could all the drama queens wring out their knickers and replace with a clean pair please. How many days until the football starts again???
  9. It's £2.65 until the 1st of October, when it goes up to £2.68. Didn't want to be pedantic....can't help it...it's an illness...
  10. Minimum wage is worked out hourly, and is currently £4.98 per hour for his age group. I'd say he probably works about 15 hours a week, with another couple on a match day. 17 hours at £4.98 is £84.66. And as BTB says, if he's on a training contract the hourly rate is even lower. I'm sure we all knew we wouldn't be paying our players below the minimum wage though, didn't we???
  11. If someone gave me £120 a week to play football at 18 I'd have been f**king delighted. Getting paid to do something you enjoy, and that millions dream of doing? As for having £120 "to live on", I'd expect he's living with his parents, so he's basically got a £120 a week to go out and play with. Plenty of time to make more money if you're good enough. If he doesn't like it he can do one.
  12. Just a bit of Thursday afternoon fun. Bit bored at work.
  13. Too vague - the boy needed a crash course in season tickets, and now has a full working knowledge of them. He'll thank me when he's older.
  14. Season tickets are a form of multi ticket purchase, normally based on a football season, giving the purchaser entry to all home league games, and reserve/under 19s games, as well as priority purchasing of cup match tickets. They're most synonymous with sporting events, but have also been known to be issued for such diverse leisure pastimes as theatre-going and rail travel.
  15. He's training with Sheffield Utd, who have still to appoint a new manager. Might depend on what their new manager thinks of him.
  16. Love the second and third kits. The Dortmund style one is my favourite, but I think the away is a cracker too. Very happy with those. Even warming to the home kit...
  17. I think its all an elaborate wind up with a number of the #mirrenmafia in on it. I posted the Higdon rumour after one of them letting the name slip, plus a random Well fan who fell for the Well Fans Twitter joke. I'll be delighted if I'm wrong. Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using Black & White Army mobile app
  18. I personally recommended a young Portuguese I saw playing football on the beach while on holiday in the Algarve in '95. Needless to say the club never took any notice of me, and that youngster became the most expensive footballer in history. When will the club start listening to random anoraks before they plan their transfer policy?
  19. Definitely need another striker, a left back, a keeper and a centre back in my view (to allow Goodwin to go back into midfield to provide some dig) It's been a good day today - a good bit more business to be done, considering the amount of players released.
  20. Where are these places? And who's going to them?
  21. Great signing. Another potential matchwinner. Feeling more optimistic already.
  22. We let none of these players go. We never deemed them surplus to requirements. They didn't want to stay here, so left.
  23. Imrie could have got more of a run, especially as we paid a fee for him. Always put in a shift, but not enough end product when he did get game time. Disappointed to see him go, but ultimately won't be missed as he didn't do enough. Similar to Carey in that regard.
  24. To be honest, my opinion of the strip started to change when I saw Thommo wearing it.
  25. If the third kit is as is being hinted at, I would prefer to buy that one than the home top.
