There is a strong Alan Stubbs feeling to this appointment from the desperation to get him in, the championing him as some sort of messiah due to bringing through youth players at Motherwell. Thought at the time we should have took a month to deal with the fall out of Goodwin's departure and try to carry on the good run we were on and get the right candidate in. Strange though that on the Friday McManus and Langfield were offered the job to end of season then a few days later we were offering Morecambe a reported £100,000 to get their manager. Baffling. Unfortunately I had no choice it's my ex missus returned the kids to her after holiday with the strip to be washed. She assures me she washed it at 30 degrees. I do have the receipt so instead of the bin thinking a replacement instead was just checking in see if anyone else was having issues as hadn't been online most of last week due to holiday and strip is only out 2 weeks. To be realistic here we will very likely lose at St Johnstone and Aberdeen so we have 3 home matches v Dundee,Livingston and possibly 1 v Arbroath Inverness or Partick if we cannot come through these matches to secure top flight football we certainly do not deserve our place in the top league. One of our previous matches in last couple of years December in Perth the Radio Scotland reporter had did his homework and said about our record there but also in general matches v them produce very little goals for both teams he said how he though maybe he would bring a change of luck ....... His starting 11 was baffling and not changing it sooner even more baffling. Really hope Brophy isn't injured long term or we could have Main starting every match. My seat is right on 18 yard line and he looked well offside considering linesman never had his flag down whole first half shocked it never went up defending after though left alot to be desired. Laughable that because they assume the positions before season starts that due to the fact "2 big hitters Aberdeen and Hibs" finish bottom 6 that it takes Kevin the student at the Spfl offices a full week to process the fixtures. There seems to be some assumption that just now it's a dogfight for 11th between ourselves and St Johnstone when the points between Dundee and St Johnstone is 1 less. Dundee & St Johnstone are fighting to avoid 12th and Dundee will be hoping to get and beat St Johnstone first game post split a result that would be perfect for us. St Johnstone, St Mirren and Aberdeen are fighting to avoid 11th. The good thing for us is will be hard with 4 teams fighting for their lives for St Johnstone to pick up a good points tally as our next win seems a million miles away.
