  1. Your right Unworried. I'm more than hopeful things will turnaround. Lets see what the Captain and co have to say then I was not at the game on Saturday so I will not coment on it However I will back Gus , Gus is working under a real financial burden. He has been trying to find an all out attacking midfield player and striker who will play for a club with one of the lowest salaries in the first division. Gus will get it right What he has said is that a player will not come in who is not better than what we have. We will make a challenge this season. What our team and club need is backing at this time. Confidence in a team can go a long way.
  2. why is that dickhead mcpherson Get a grip.
  3. This is hard Bill mmm ? 1/ Flat Beer 2/ Old Firm Season ticket 3/ A Scooter 4/ A JCB 5/ A Microwave Bill you need to move with the technology. iPods are amazing things. 4. Classic, every home should own a copy of, with out doubt Yes's best album. Fuuny enough that is their best album which does not have that keyboard player on it
  5. First time I heard them on the radio I thought Jeez Oh have the Police got back together ? However A do have their own sound. Your right they are good.
  6. Living in the West end I can understand why you liked it. I gave up my Scotland tickets for the Italy game to take the wife down to Rothesay for a romantic weekend. Romantic I hear you say ? I used to Dj down there in the early 80's when I met my good wife. Oh aye memories
  7. Yes, I read it but can't say it was one of the better books that I have read. Everyone to their own I suppose. A middile aged man is going through mid marrige crises , he finds something is missing from his life so he turns to Buddha. which in turn causes his marrige to go hay wire. That is the basis of the book. When I was reading it I kept thinking that it could be scripted for River City. As I wrote everyone to their own so you might like it Home in three weeks so might see you in the pub soon
  8. A curry now and then is ok however Thai , and I mean real Thai no the Cantaniese take away doon the road knocks the cotton socks off Indian food. 10. Bloody hell that book is like an episode from a soap-opra. Never took you as a soap man Christopher Brookmyre.... Most of Christopher's books rather than naming one. Ian Pattison......Swet And Tender Holigan....Paisley gangster story and one hell of a laugh. Ian Banks......Espedair Street. About a band from Paisley that make it to the big time only for it to fall apart. Great book. Nick Mason.....Inside Out A Personal History Of Pink Floyd..Say's it all really ! R Tolkien......Lord Of The Rings...Blew me away as a teen and opend the door to and Irish band called Horslips Every home should have one....."Made In Scotland Names That Began In Scotland" Not sure who wrote it ?
  11. Kaiser Chiefs......Road To Employment The Cribs....The New Felbs Maximo Park......A Certain Trigger Garbage...... Bleed Like Me A......Teen Dance Seen the Cribs in the future tent at T In The Park and they were shit hot for such a young band so I got tickets for the up-coming NME gig in Glasgow with the Kaiser's and Maximo. Well if your going to see a band live it's nice to know their album. Also got tickets for Garbage in Glasgow. I have A's last album which was played none stop on the radio in LA. A Brittish band that never get a chance here in the UK.

  13. Being at sea for weeks on end you have to have something to keep you sane. My drug at sea is books, gym and music. With most radio music being utter pish my main source of music information comes from satellits tv. However I get NME and Q and from reading them I will purchase a Cd through a review which can turn out to be a bad idea , not often though Every month I purchase up to 12 Cd's. Duff recomended ones last time home was Hal..... not good at all , infact I could not play this all the way through. Queen Of The Stoneage.......This was also recomended. Going by their first album which I also have I thought it would be good. It's pure utter crap simple. I only have one other Cd in my collection that I'm not into. Kenny G and that was bought for the wife.
  14. Never seen this name before. Now it's in books and album covers. It's not a Masons hits album is it
  15. Yes they have a new singer. At first i felt disappointed by this as Sky had a very seductive voice. The new singer Daisy has a deeper sound that is not as warm as Sky's. On the bright side it is a very good album. More of a band sound than before. If i was to be critical it would be that 10 tracks is a bit mean. Overall it is worth purchasing. My best album this year is still the Doves who have come of age. It's a cracking album. The Doves hired a cottage up north and wrote and recorded the album as a band inspired by beautiful scenery I would think ?
  16. 1/ HAL.....HAL 2/ Morcheeba.....The Antidote 3/ Kanye west.....The College Dropout 4/ Tinariwen Amassakoul 5/ Janes Addiction....Nothing's Shocking
  17. Good on you for keeping your word Tom McB. You will be most welcome for a beer before our pre-season match.
  18. Yflab, Very good points their , the electronics technology is very fast moving. I like the sound of SACD in suround sound but no way the wife would let me go down that road unless of course a wee win in the lotto was to happen ! I picked up a Linn LP12 on ebay for £300 and put it into linn for the once over for under a £100. You should do something like that for your vinyl. My 10year old daughter can't gat away with it
  19. 1/ Janes Addiction - Nothing's Shocking 2/ Jet Get - Born 3/ The Fixx - Phantoms 4/ The Fixx - Shutterd Room 5/ Chris Isaak - Speak To The Devil Anyone else fed up having to repurchase Cd's because they are remasterd. Take Queen - Sheer Heart Attack. I first got it in a large carboard cover where everything was easy to read. Inside was a big peace of black plastic, vinyl it was called. Then I bought the Cd. Yesterday I bought the new remasterd version. I have been purchasing Cd's since 1983 and have a very large collection It's a bloody joke that you have to purchase the same album twice to improve the sound of the disc. For some it's not important , depending on your playback equipment. For me I hear quite a difference a more smoother sound. Playback quality playback is important to me. The music industry stinks Grrr ! !
  20. 1- Doves, Some Cities....great CD my cd of the year so far 2- The Bravery, The Bravery...Bubblegum glam , not bad ! 3- Queens Of The Sone Age, Lullabies To Paralyze...Just what the speakers have been waiting for , great ! 4- Judas Priest, Angel Of Retribution. Bought this new album from Priest because I had a ticket for ssec to see them. Heavy and loud that was the gig ! 5- Roxy Music, Manifesto...Remasterd and sounds great !
  21. Obviously not in your case going by the number 3 choice I could never pick just five songs so I will go for..... 1/ When the Saints go marching in .2/ When the Saints go marching in. 3/ When the Saints go marching in. 4/ When the Saints go marching in. 5/ When the Saints go marching in.
  22. I have heard we are going to win the league this year but as yet i have not seen it
  23. Hi Grieg when we going to have that pint and chat ? If you have a DVD player I strongly recomend "Hullabaloo" it will blow your cotton socks off and gives you a very good insight to the band on the bouns DVD. Note that Muse have won best live band in every award this year. I seen them at the SEEC and can confirm it is the best live band I have seen there , in fact the best live band I have seen since Pink Floyd, yes that good Grieg. If your going down the Cd route start with "Absolution" this is the album that's given them a wider audience which is a good introduction to the band as it has the best production ( BIG SOUND ) Very clever band combining Clasical music , Modern dance sounds and Rock to give a sound that's diffrent from the run of the mill. Origin of symmetry and showbiz are best listend to on the live DVD which is really worth the money. If you like the band thier is also a very intresting book been written simply called "Muse" It's a great rock and roll story priced about £6.00. Happy listening
  24. One thing about your posting's Stu Sid, consistently pish comes to mind . Though being the Sensible Captains lap dog you did get one right in your list "Renfrum"
