  1. Now watch Saints fans moan about releasing him ect.
  2. Think he has got the Falkirk-Hibs game this weekend. Maybe to take him out of the limelight. Decent idea, will go tits up when he send off 4 players though.
  3. Wonder if Alex Neil fancies taking him down to Norwich with him. He obviously rates Kenny after booting him off the park . 750k with add ons please .
  4. Non Saints supporting pal got a tip off. He was confident enough to stick money on it when Lockes odds were still pretty big. Suppose we'll find out sooner or later.
  5. Anyone else hear Gary Locke will be the new manager?
  6. Kenny is only worth what a club is willing to pay for him and what we're willing to accept. We are not a fashionable club like United,Aberdeen. Even Falkirk and Accies have received huge fees. We don't talk up our talented young players enough. Maybe DL was too modest about them and didn't want to heap pressure on the likes of McGinn. Kennys problem has always been consistency. When he is on form he is a joy to watch. Sadly he can go off the boil for a few games. I heard Teale say he has been brilliant all season, I'd argue he has played his best stuff since TC departed. I think even if Fleetwood doubled the offer he'd be looking at playing for a bigger club. Maybe we leaked the story to alert other clubs to create interest.
  7. We pretty much played a 4-6-0 against Dundee. McLean was our furthest forward player with McGinn close behind. The likes of McLear and Kelly supported the attack whenever they could. Was very effective. I think if 4-6-0 was mentioned anywhere on here before the game there would have been a few meltdowns!
  8. Teale has played in the English Premiership, Championship and for Scotland. Would be surprised if he didn't have any sort of contacts.
  9. When last seasons game was moved to the 2nd there was fans moaning because they went back to work. Sadly having the games on the 1st or 2nd can't please everybody. Hoping the Saints fans come out in huge numbers for this , there is a fighting spirit and passion installed in the team now.
  10. Proud to say I was one of the 400 odd Saints fans that witnessed that goal on Saturday, it has to be the best goal iv ever seen us score. It even tops Yardley's v Morton and Shuggies head keepy uppie v The Bankies. What is the best Saints goal you have witnessed live? And would it be good enough to cause social media to go into over drive like Malladonna's has? Think a few older fans will say Scanlon's v Celtic, wish there was cameras at that game.
  11. Has anyone seen Ball recently? He looked very trim yesterday. I don't think our kits do him justice.
  12. Goodwin was fantastic again yesterday. Even took a couple of few elbows from McPake & Clarkson and done well not to react.
  13. Bolton are about £170M in debt. Can't see them getting into a bidding war. I think if we can get 250-300k with future add ons we should accept and that'll let us get in a few players.
  14. Think what he could do with McAusland with him being a former England internationalist, if anyone could sort our defence out its him.
  15. Hopefully! Just hope we don't have to pay too much to get rid of some of them. If it meant getting rid of 3 duds to bring in 1 decent player I'd take that. Kello,Naismith,Goodwin,Kelly,Tess,McLean,McGinn and Wylde are all good enough to be competing at the top end of the bottom 6, maybe even a higher level. Too many passangers in the squad though. We'd be as well sending Drury and Plummer back. Teale will still be getting his wage as a player too. Who knows if Thompson is going to recover from his injury. Centre half issue needs addressed ( still ). I can't see us appointing a manager, assistant and scout, 3 extra wages. If we want Butcher we'd need to take on his team too. Don't think that'll happen. Will be lucky if we can pay out 1 extra wage unless we do cash in on McGinn. Another problem is who will pay decent money for him, he's not had the best of times this season.
  16. Butcher's biggest mistake was publicly slating the Hibs team, he thought he'd be able to punt most of them in January but wasn't able to. So he was stuck with a dressing room that despised him and they dropped down the league quicker than Sevco's bank balance. He was regarded as one of the best managers in Scotland, if not the best, before he joined Hibs. The problem is he has taken over 2 teams in our current position ( Hibs and ICT ) and both have been relegated at the end of the season. We need someone to come in and steady the ship, can't see many teams signing our duds so whoever comes in has to be tactically astute and be able to get the best out of really average players. Murray took over Dumbarton in November a few years ago when they had 8 points, by the end of the season they ended up with over 40 with the same group of players. That's the kind of miracle we need. Whether or not that makes Murray the ideal man for the job and if we can afford him is another matter entirely.
  17. I think Jim is going to stand up and really be counted in the next few games.
  18. Would you trust 2000 Celtic fans to behave themselves when there is alcohol involved? I certainly wouldn't. We have even had bother with small number of Motherwell fans inside and outside the ground the last couple of times. Killie and Thistle are good eggs though.
  19. Fair do's. Better get applying just now for the end of season BBQ when we clinch a top 6 place .
  20. Hopefully if there is a next time the Renfrewshire council will act a bit swifter. I thought there was a decent gap left to be fitted out in the main stand?
  21. How ironic is it that Christie in planting one on McGinn in that picture . Well done John. Would be great if we could get him to sign a new deal.
  22. Should fit in fine with the rest of us then! He can open the beer tent on Saturday
