  1. Piazza flattening sounds good to me- a garden city development along the banks of the cart from the Hammils to the bridge behind the sneddon and the high street reverted to good quality social and private housing with certain decrepit buildings removed and replaced with open space and street art/furniture. the UK high street aint coming back soon and the only way it will ever happen is if city centres become a bit more picturesque and attractive we do desperately need a major employer to move their headquarters to a location near the town centre to drive some momentum. they really should have done something to try and snare scottish power who are building in a pointless location next to the M8. a new development on Laighcartside would have been ideal for them somebody somewhere is planning a new city headquarters building just now, we only need to get one of them to Paisley and we are rocking
  2. Anthony crola suffers a fractured skull whilst rying to apprehend burglars real shame if it affects his career in the way that i fear it will
  3. it feels like nobody's ground, to be completely honest i wonder if the club actually died, more than a little, when we moved out.
  4. the oil price is being manipulated to put pressure on Russia it will recover and the so-called crisis will give the oil companies a chance to cut costs and make even more money when it does and just so you know, oil volatility is every bit as bad a news story for the UK as it is for scotland. Just ask "drill baby drill" Cameron
  5. UK interest rates CANNOT rise now before the end of 2015 but preferrably not before Q2 2016 Britain has now spunked away 2.2 billion in PPI refunds and the consumer led blip is over. we are back to stagnancy or even borderline recession in the next 2 years meanwhile, wee gid announces a UK oil & Gas fund for parts of England that have yet to produce very much of anything related to hydrocarbons in a cack-handed attempt to convince the north that he cares way to go, Gideon.
  6. seems he has done a good enough job in securing sponsors for the SFA when there is only one notable club and zero competitive leagues in the pro game here Really, the main issue in scottish football is the SPFL, which is a liability created by the clubs-aided and abetted by Doncaster
  7. I wondered if he knew something else was afoot when the news broke and this confirms it. Doubtless he can be bought off for a portion of the 750K he is due and he'd be daft not to take it now. There is obviously little chance that sevco can meet their ongoing committments and he is probably doing what he can to ring fence his share of what is left
  8. no point investing football as such, but investment in income streams that will support the football side and reduce the burden on the fan is a much. i am sure we are all quite prepared to keep spending what we do just now, but really, we could get more for the money and that can only be done if other income strams can be developed. problem is, this board (understandably) wont borrow to finance development and don't have the cash themselves to invest and who knows what any prospective buyer will want to do. we are in a bit of Purdah
  9. You are quite right, how dare he dip a toe in the water with a journeyman. he should be straight in to the title fights
  10. He seems to have matured into a reasonable human being, that is true. Shame his brother is such a wee turd
  11. i suspect that he is not english, though.
  12. we had a game at tannadice about 4 years ago and one of the united players put in a horrendous tackle just as Spence was walking past the saints support in the old wooden bench section of that dump, he was only a few feet away from me and i shouted out "hey Jim, i hope you are gonna report that tackle" His reply, "ach the boy's a wee bit of a hothead but he disnae need me on his back" My final word was "eat shit & die spence, ya ginger wee dundee fickwit" He reported neither the tackle nor the conversation.
  13. this would carry some weight if it were actually funny-outside of the schoolyard that is
  14. SD alludes that he was courted at an early stage to join 10Kh by it's ace networker that fact alone busts into oblivion any credibility that group ever had
  15. if they are men and proper competitors then they take it on the chin as valid comment from an experienced and respected senior pro and kick on to prove him wrong or they are smoked out as not (yet) good enough
  16. nobody is paying anything for those two, at least not enough to fund other deals
  17. a 20 minute drive over the erskine bridge is hardly uprooting your family (assuming Murray even lives on the wrong side of the clyde) there are such things as nurseries, childminders and relatives. It maybe suits Murray to build his career in the present environment, but an ambitious man would be using such a chance to help build his future elsewhere.
  18. did he not say he was no longer pushing a lavvie mop and was now working for a living? Actually, i dont care.
  19. Remind me again, where did you go to further your football ambitions as a teenager? And you complain about kids being taken away from their friends? Oh, that's right-you are not a real person and had no friends to lose
  20. He can't tell us if he is-he's still biting the pillow
  21. there are no real debts so liquidation is not on the cards Clubs that thrived after liquidation tended to have some assets of value, which we don't have
  22. I thought that concentrating only on those in the local vicinity (can there be a non-local vicinity?) would be the definition of parochialism
  23. It is a pattern (an intermittent one), not a cycle
