Poz, I tried the JD in the Paisley Centre yesterday and the staff told me that they expect it in this week, probably Thursday as that's when their delivery is due. They seemed a bit better in there than at Silverburn.

Can we not loan out Webster instead...?

Gordon and Mackenzie? Aye, I'm sure I read before the Hibs game that Mackenzie was ready...but alas, not even on the bench. Gordon was however. Wish Rae would come out with a definitive statement about when they're due back.

He's decent with the ball at his feet so I'd give it a go. I'd much prefer to see Stewart at left back, seeing as he's actually left footed. Langfield Naismith Gordon Mackenzie Stewart Irvine Hutton Morgan Mallan Walsh Hardie/Clarkson/Shankland/Sutton (no idea who's best for this role) Worth a go surely.

If Quinn is out I'd seriously consider putting Irvine or even an U20s centre mid in there with Hutton and Mallan. Control the midfield first, get a grip on the game, and then try and get the goals.

It's vital that Quinn comes back soon, or we get another holding mid in. Mallan is not a box to box midfielder, we need to get him up behind the striker. Playing two forwards isn't working, so let's go back to packing he midfield, and then we can bring on a striker or two later in the game. It would also allow Walsh and Morgan to play with a bit more freedom, as there will be two sitting midfielders to track back.

At least Shull will be happy.

What an absolute joke.

I think Rae should be given time, but he must sort out the midfield situation. We need a strong, composed central/defensive midfielder in there pronto. Quinn will make a difference, but he is a little injury prone. Worth noting this opinion from a Dundee fan:

Pretty sure he played in midfield. Think Kidd and Marshall were their fullbacks.
