  1. Never thought of that. It looks like they might be trying to get one of their out of contract right backs to sign for us in the summer, maybe as a means of "can't give you any money but we'll sort you with one of these replacements"
  2. Houston has stated a few times that they've spent their budget. Not sure if they've cut some players yet, but they still could I guess.
  3. On the train, will be in the ground half an hour early but I'll be glad just to get out this pishing rain
  4. Radio guy said we were playing "nice, attractive and confident football", so I win. Dunno if the team will though...
  5. Hopefully we don't get bogged down in playing a long ball game, it would totally bypass our best players - our young midfielders. St Mirren Starting XI: Gallacher, Naismith, MacKenzie, Webster, Irvine, Quinn, Magennis, McAllister, Mallan, Morgan, Sutton St Mirren Subs: Langfield, Baird, McLear, Gallagher, Hardie, Clarkson, Shankland
  6. Aye, would prefer a more experienced player, but it's probably slim pickings in the January window. Anyone half decent will be on a contract and wouldn't be available for loan, so a decent young player is probably best we can hope for.
  7. Brilliant. Beers for everyone! Every player played their part in that one.
  8. St Mirren: Gallacher, Naismith, Gordon, MacKenzie, Irvine, Quinn, Magennis, McAllister, Mallan, Morgan, SuttonSt Mirren Subs: Langfield, Stewart, Gallagher, Shankland, Clarkson, McLear, Hardie
  9. Aye but Chic probs says he wipes his elbow after a shite
  10. Born and raised in Glasgow, but have family ties in Paisley, and stay pretty close so I was always in about the town, and still am. Kind of grew up with no team, due to being brought up in a split Rangers/Celtic family. Started going to see Saints in my mid teens and never looked back really.
  11. It's clear that playing Mallan further up the park is JR's intention, but because of Quinn's injury, Whyte's injury, and Hutton being absolutely gash, we've persisted with Clarkson as the attacking mid. I actually think Walsh could do a good job as an central attacking mid.
  12. St Mirren: Langfield, Naismith, Gordon, MacKenzie, Irvine, Mallan, Magennis, McAllister, Clarkson, Morgan, Sutton.
  13. Langfield catches the ball from a corner then proceeds to throw it out the park.

  15. Because we have no one else, unless we play the U20s.
