He was interviewed on tv earlier. Made the point he has never played here and is not up to speed on our game. Nothing wrong with that. Just as a matter of interest, how would you describe someone born in England and lived their whole life there ? Oh, and that accent, lol. Anyway, let’s hope he starts off with a defeat.
Unlucky?

Why interview him then ?

It may not have been Tommy Wright's wage but how much more budget he would need to turn it around given the case that Robinson had recruited quite heavily in summer.

You don’t always interview knowing what the candidate is looking for or the transfer/wage budget he/she requires. Most people would have anticipated Tommy Wright getting that gig given his history with St Johnstone.

The Fakes are the only F/T club Wright has managed (having been promoted internally which seems to be the Fakes way) although his record with them is good when you throw his age into the gumbo I don't think he's going to get a prestigious gig down south - next genuine opportunity might be @ Killie - does anyone else remember a few months back when the cognoscenti were tipping him for the real Saints job? :whistle

Wright, IMO, is akin to Moyes when he was at Everton.

With a comparatively medium budget he kept them safe year after year.

For many teams that's enough, while carrying a wee bit of luck and getting a cup run.

Aye, can't see him getting a gig down souff, but would be an attractive proposition to many teams up here.
