I know what you mean but the bookies favourite is Tony Docherty and although no compensation would be required his wage would certainly be greater than McLeish. -

These experienced managers? How many do you think would be interested? When was the last time we paid compensation for a manager? -

McLeish is certainly going to be cheaper than having to bring an experienced manager in and of course depending on whom possible compensation might be required.
