    9. St.Mirren For Sale

The majority shareholding in the club was up for sale for 7 years! Eventually the shareholding was purchased by Gordon Scott and SMiSA in July 2016 with almost 1300 supporters contributing to the successful bid.

This forum is now really just an archive of some of the threads that took place in that 7 year period.  ps; Anyone mentions the Argies they get banned.

    • Just need to adjust & be happy with a standard of life where you’re eating 30p meals. 😂 How dare people in a wealthy, developed nation expect any sort of quality of life or luxury. Survival is all the working class deserve eh? 😅 https://news.sky.com/story/amp/tory-mp-criticised-for-saying-food-bank-users-just-need-to-learn-how-to-cook-12610728
    • So it’s all their fault, nothing to do with the government & it’s completely a shift in human nature that food bank use has went up 6000% in a time that coincidentally aligns with deep austerity, support & real time wage declines? 🤷‍♂️ After all, this is what you do when I post isn’t it? You make it out that I’m saying everything is black & white with no exceptions or other factors whatsoever.    Living above their means is the whole point. The level ‘Above their means’ has changed because their salary isn’t worth the same as it was due to inflation & other factors.    Why should people have to so sharply adjust? Why should it be a case that often a job in 2024 pays a comparable wage of sometimes 70%-80% of what it was 15 years ago?    On what planet isn’t that the fault of a government who have literally implemented policy that’s led to this?
    • You're in a fantasy world if you actually believe, and it's hard to tell with you TBH, that nurses and teachers cannot budget to live on these salaries as miiions of people are nowhere close to their money yet do not need to use food banks.  Living above their means, maybe you've heard of that?  If they can't "adjust" that is not the fault of any government.
