Sad sad news. Was at school with Derek, we both lived up in Hollows in Foxbar. Hadn't met him since those days but through this forum we sent a few pm's. Thoughts are with his family at this time.
Who are your family? I lived in Port charlotte for 15 years but my late wifes family were from Portnahaven.....did you ever play in any of the Port Charlotte - Portnahaven games.
You should go Islay is a great place to relax and get blootered. In the Port Charlotte hotel you can buy almost any malt you can imagine but you can only buy 1 blend and thats Black Bottle. There are a few saints supporters there too.
The whisky from the distilleries on the other side of the island ie Bruichladdich & Bunnahabhain are much less peaty. I worked in Bruichladdich distillery (the most westerly of scottish distilleries) for 2 years so maybe a wee bit of favouritism. Black bottle is produced by the company that own Bunnahabhain (or it was) and is a blend of the Islays.
Walk the last mile........... James Grant
Caledonia.......................Frankie Miller or the guy that wrote it Dougie ???
Alba...............................Runrig
Flower of Scotland...........Corries
Lights of Lochindaal..........Various (mostly on way home from pub)
Looking for some info or help from anyone who knows of this company.
Was thinking about doing a homestudy/livelabs course with them leading to a Cisco certification. Guy was down speaking to me today and apart from the usual crap about being "perfect for the course" and "they dont offer it to everyone" there was no hard sell.
After doing a search and reading some experiences I am having doubts. Would be really grateful for any info. Cheers
