  1. As long as it is not Chris. I detest that clown.
  2. I am really looking forward to this game. I think people will be attending the game with renewed optimism with the cup win at Dens and so many new and positive signings making an instant impact. I think there might be a bit of an atmosphere at St Mirren Park for a change. Falkirk supporting mate at work was saying they were awful at the weekend and a lot of their fans are calling for the managers head on the Falkirk forum. St Mirren 3 Falkirk 0 Bring in the bairns!
  3. Very impressed by young Billy. He really looks like a terrific loan signing. Also think he could become a bit of a cult hero between now and the end of season.
  4. I remember attending a midweek challenge cup clash at East Fife. I think it was Kenny Gillies who got sent off in extra time and St Mirren eventually lost 1-0 with a goal scored minutes from end of extra time. The 90's was when I attended most St Mirren games and looking back we must have lost about 75% of the games. Seems like nothing like has changed in 00's or 10's. :-(
  5. 6am queuing at St Mirren Park to buy tickets could be the order of the day Spartans style.
  6. Rangers at Ibrox with 30,000 plus crowd, a St Mirren win, into the next round and £100k in the bank. Either that or Queens Park at Hampden. Happy days!
  7. Sorry! Pub related antics. On topic. Feeling the love for the buds tonight. #wearestayingup
  8. Loving the clean sheet related antics. Something to build on. Well done the buds.
  9. I hope my sister gave you a shout as she was at the game and was convinced you were sitting near her. :-)

  13. Happy days! My sister is up at the game and landed two free tickets off James Grady and hopefully witnessing a great cup win.
  14. In his short managerial career Jack has done alright in the cups, causing a few upsets, so let's hope he keeps that going with a narrow 1-0 win for the buds. Can't see it myself but we live in hope. A win here and a money spinning trip to Parkhead in the next round would please the board and help fund more signings.
  15. My wee nephew is playing for St Mirren youngsters against Dundee United in Dundee tomorrow morning then a number of the boys and their dad's are heading along to the game. Would love for St Mirren to do a double over the Dundee teams but think the big team will find it tough.
  16. And people say that our youth system isn't producing talent. The youth academy seems to be doing not too bad from where I'm sitting. Keep up the good work St Mirren. :-)
  17. Welcome aboard Billy. Another promising signing who looks like he really could improve our goalkeeping situation. If we have any aspirations of staying in this league we need to start getting some clean sheets and giving us a chance of nicking a few 1-0 wins. A young up and coming player from one of the biggest clubs in the land with a point to prove, what is not like. St Mirren are starting to give me that feeling of hope again. I never learn. This club will be death of me.
  18. This £8k from SMISA is going a long way. The recent signings will surely give everyone connected with the club a massive lift. I am really pleasantly surprised at the volume of player's coming in and changing the whole look of the squad. Things seem a bit brighter this week. Let's get as many fans as possible in for the Falkirk game, generate a positive atmosphere in the stadium and let's get ourselves out of this mess. What an end to the season we could be in for. #wearestayingup
  19. Maybe he heard we were bidding for the 2021 city of culture and thought I am having some of that. Would be a great signing.
  20. Just voted for Kyle. Good luck young man!
  21. With Jason away then I can only really think of Mallan, Mclear and Baird, who played 1st team games, being the only survivors of our relegation from the top flight. On a positive note people say our youth system doesn't produce talent well that's Naismith, McLean, McGinn and Kelly moved onto better things. Hopefully the youth set up keeps producing talented youngsters that do the club a good turn and get us promoted back to the top flight in the next few seasons.
  22. Good luck to Jason. Always liked him and I wish him all the best as always tried his best in what has been a hard few years for anyone playing for St Mirren. I hope his career kicks on after a nasty looking injury. Good luck Jason!
  23. Would love to see a blackandwhitearmy forum gathering pre and post home match. The 1877 never seems to be that busy and reach its full capacity for any game. We have 8000 users on this forum allegedly. Would be terrific to get a date arranged and get 100 or so forum regulars into the pub to top existing 1877 members. Fill the place up, generate some good banter and revenue for the club. We need to muster up some enthusiasm and togetherness for this long battle that lies ahead. Together we can fight and make the impossible possible. Make it happen Div! PS Get a few regulars in the stocks and we could chuck water/rotten fruit etc at them for a £5 a go. Would wipe out the 1877 clubs debt in one afternoon if certain regulars on here were in the stocks. Stay positive buds and keep smiling. It could be worse, we could live in Greenock. :-)
  24. We have to remain positive and hope the new players gel quickly and we can get some wins and climb the table. I know it's hard to remain positive in our current situation but we have to. I want to see a good bond form between the player's and fans that helps us fight as one to get us out of this mess. There is hope there buddies and we have to cling onto it. Stay positive buddies.
